Hi, I couldnt find any other similar threads, but i'm hoping someone on here has the Nissan FAST software and can help me confirm something. I posted on SAU as well but its kinda urgent To start, its not a Z, its actually another VG powered Nissan though; a '94 Nissan Cedric (non-turbo) The VIN# is: PY32-770579 and Model# MLEARUNY32EDAE009Y Can somebody please check whether this model came with an electric radiator fan (thermo fan) as well as the clutch fan? I believe they should come with both, but mine only has the clutch fan (and i'm having overheating problems!) And can anyone confirm whether a Z32 clutch fan can fit on these cars (slim chance but i'm hopeful)! Thanks all
Hey Dom Ben (J-Spec) here, FAST won't tell you that based on the chassis number, I'll see if we have the the parts brakedown for a Y32 but I'm not sure. Going by most Nissans the clutch fan should do all of the heating and IF it has a thermofan it should only come on when the aircon is on or if the car is overheating. Ben
Thanks Ben Ah, i see! I thought FAST was some super database of parts and models... And i think you might be right. Its non-turbo, so that could explain the difference between that and my Cima (which has an electric fan in front of the clutch fan) Do you or anyone have a pic of a 300ZX clutch fan? I want to see if i can make it fit my Cedric (i'm getting told a new one will be $400+)
FAST can have that info but only if you have the right disc, and I don't think I've got the disc with Y32 parts on it. Here's a pic of a Z thermofan: Ben
Thanks for that... Thats quite tempting... its on the other side of the radiator so doesnt interfere with the clutch fan... Couldnt trouble you for a pic of the clutch fan could i?? :embarrassed:
