BKR6EIX & BKR7EIX I have 2 sets of each that are excess to my current needs @ $66 /set The 6's suit the NA or TT & the 7's are a colder plug for TT's running higher boost or doing track work PM me for details or if you have any questions
I have a 1990 manual 300ZX NA which I use as a daily driver, no track work. It would seem the standard OEM spark plug is the NGK platinum PFR6B-11 ( now apparently replaced by the PFR6G-11). Is the NGK iridium BKR6EIX spark plug suitable for my model Z? Are the iridium plugs a direct replacement for the platinum plugs or are they an upgraded plug? Thanks Paul
Over the years a large number of zed owners (myself included) have come to the conclusion that Iridium spark plugs are the best option for performance and reliability when it comes to the zeds. There's all sorts of scientific hoo haa behind it, but the bottom line is that they just work better and for longer (commuting and on the dyno) NGK rate them as having : Superior ignitability due to a 0.6mm centre electrode (normal plug has 2.5mm electrode) Service life of 60k kms A melting point 35% higher than Platinum and 65% higher than Nickel p.s I've been using them in zeds for 16yrs and wouldn't have anything else
Only ONE set left I can't believe these haven't all been snapped up yet. These plugs will cost you $AU88 from Concept or Z1 Motorsport in the US ..... then you still have to pay the horrendous shipping cost to get them delivered from America (and you don't want to know what local businesses are asking for these things ) 6 x BKR7EIX Iridium plugs for $66 (Xmas has come early this year, it's just that some of you haven't realised it yet )
