    Thanks!

I'm not sure if I got your question...We're looking to work something out with the dealer we choose so we don't have surprises with the final price at the end.

We know it's going to be very expensive to ship the bumpers to Australia, but we believe we still can get a decent price and a lot cheaper than paying shipping from the US.

The front bumper from Zcentre was a copy that Luke (the owner) made of one of my old front bumpers (first design) and started commercializing it like it was his own design...He even used pics of my car to promote it, lol.

Anyway, the bumper you see on my white Z and this Z is an improved version of our old bumper which still is a prototype and we need to make some more tweaks before offering it to the market.

We only made 40 copies of our old front bumper since we wasn't too happy with it and still wanted to improve it before offereing it again.

No I think he did mean "functional"... as in TTZ functional.. you know what I mean...
I vote for Rob if he wants to take up the offer, he's very prompt... sorry but it takes a while to get anything from Caz.

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

oh whoops... yes. that's what I meant. will the diffuser be functional in that will it actually provide downforce?

it might... but probably only at speeds that will result in loss of license for life and most NAs will never achieve those speeds.

so to answer your question, it's mainly going to be a cosmetic mod.

You are incorrect there mike, but that is all I want to add to the discussion at this point. Of course i would jump at the chance to get involved with something like this but it's really a discussion that to be had off the forum... I'm sure other contenders would agree. Also regardless of who lands the gig the cost to members is going to depend entirely on the cost of bringing them in as commercial import.

Is the width of the rear number plate recess the same as the JDM or US rear bars? If one of the prime motivators for the 2+2 rear bar is to market it in Europe/UK/Australia, may I suggest widening that recess? Yours is a complete replacement, and doesn't need to fit into/over the existing bumper. Might be all too late of course, but virtually all European plates are much wider than US/Japanese plates, and here in Australia most standard plates are about 1 inch wider.

The Z32's sold into these markets by Nissan were all 2+2, and came ex-factory with very wide rear plate recesses, you may not be aware of this. They also came with rear fog lamps and reflectors; required by some Euro countries, but not a legal requirement here as the standard tail lamps are adequate. In my eyes, your current bar with a wider recess and no rear fog lamps would be perfect. This would eliminate the need to bend or trim the plates, or cut slots into the bar, and may convert some potential customers to a "yes". Be interesting to see what potential customers think.

I have a 2 seater so this is not relevant to me. However, I would love to get one of your 2 seater rear bars one day ....

In 1995 Stillen made a very low volume of rear bars specifically for the 25th Anniversary Z sold into our market (equivalent of the 2 seater SMZ in the US market). This urethane bar also had a widened to suit our plates.

    lol, now I get it...

We don't have a tunnel wind, so it's not a tested diffuser (as most diffusers), but I'm pretty sure it does a great job as a diffuser since we have followed design cues from proven diffusers...Also, people would need to make a custom metal sheet or something that goes underneat the car to make a better use of the diffuser.

If the diffuser was a tunnel wind tested product, believe me you wouldn't like the asking price at all!!

We knew about that before starting the project since other members pointed that out to us, but the license plate recess will keep the same dimensions as
JDM and US because changing the dimensions would have made us change the design of the diffuser too and that would have been to expensive and would have added more time to the project, making the product more expensive as a consequence.

Other members pointed out to us that the plate could be modifided to fit...Let me know if I'm wrong, please.

Modifying the plate isn't legal and could be a point of defect for the car, or result in fines :p

I wouldn't worry too much about the number plate recess sizes, people who really want the bumper will find ways around it.

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

Not correct. As long as you bend the number plate in a fashion that's still clearly visable to read the plate details from i think 45 degree angles either side of the car, it's legal.
