Saw an ad on Yahoo and followed it to the new pontiac Solstice.... starting at 25k aussie equivalent, it seems to be good bang for your buck. Its american, but seems to have a very retro english sports quality.....Im going to go out on a limb and say i like it... Opinions...... Pontiac Solstice This is production not a concept BTW Easy Engine Bay
Very "Crossfire/CLK" Z8 S2000 but I could live with that. Isn't the ECOtec engine the Holden's V6 (although that looks more like a twin-OHC 4cyl)?
Ugly has a new name. I am not a fan of retro styling. If you want an old car, buy an old car. Our modern manufacturing techniques allow us to create many new styles, shapes and designs. But instead of pioneering and moving forward we are going backwards. I think either designers have little inspiration/imagination or just trying desperately to recapture their youth. Either way it is time to stop living in the past.
I think it is gorgeous If you follow the link and take a look at it I don't actually think that it looks retro at all. The front could be percieved to look a bit retro but the rest of it looks sleek and modern IMO. Not that I'd would buy one - I'd buy another Zed first! :zlove:
hmmm 2.4ltr ecotech 4 cyl.. 177hp 50/50 blistien shocks.. a 20b rotary would fit quite nicely in there.. good buy for 25k i rekon
I think Ecotec is a name registered by GM and can be applied to whatever motor they wish - similar to "Boss" and Ford. It's a Pontiac - where are the other 4 cylinders??? Pontiacs are supposed to have 400+ cube motors, Eagles on the hood, and some bad attitude!
I like it The car features in the latest Apprentice (aired in the US last week), where the contenders have to create an advertising campaign. Solstice looks stunning imo...especially having viewed every angle on video
