I like look of this, its small to. http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&ved=0CAgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flextechnologies.com%2F&rct=j&q=flex+technologies.&ei=_L1jS7erF5Po7AORsbwi&usg=AFQjCNHh7Uc4CltrP5CNMVK4Khfp5PFEFQ
I think they only make them in quantity, I can't find an outlet that sells them individually. I'll email them and find out what the go is.
mate silvia or r33 gtst carbon canisters are 1/2 the size of zed ones if not smaller.. 10 bucks from the local wreckers
I've been keeping an eye on sau and nissan sill sites, the word must be out, because they want 70 to 100 buck, looked around the wreckers no go there.
Really!?! I got mine for $10, and had another 5 people offering them to me for that price. Just put a wanted add up on SAU.
I think most people here know that keeping the cc is a good idea, I removed mine for the normal reason(it was right up close and personal right behind my new smic) and before i ditched it I'd never smelt fuel around the car, running or stopped, hot or cold weather, nothing. But as soon as I removed it i could smell fuel. Its my guess that those who report hardly ever smelling fuel after removing the cc, have a blocked up fuel cap(the fuel cap is a one way valve) or the tanks relief valve(the one under the car below the tank) is not working as it should, or a bit of both. When the relief valve opens the fuel cap should allow air to enter the tank until the pressure inside the tank drops below the relief valves set pressure, 5-7psi I think, so what ever gets past the relief valve has to come out the end of the vent line into the atmosphere, bad deal for the atmosphere, bad deal al round. I always intended to replace mine, but the spot i had in mind is occupied but an over flow tank, so it looks like a smaller cc has to go back behind ps intercooler. End rant. [/IMG]
supra and soarer ones are also pretty small. u need 2 find a friendly wrecker that will let you poke around the yard... 10 bucks is all you should have to pay... im actually using the carbon canister from my nissan pintara as its quiet a bit smaller than the zed one. so my pinny has z parts on it now
S13 cc install This for anyone who removed the stock canister and isn't sure how to replace it with another, an s13 canister in this case. The line with the 2 white dots is the vent line from the Fuel tank, on an s13 canister it connects to the port in the centre of the canister via the the hard line, like they nearly all do. The blue line with light the blue dot is the vacuum signal line, this connects to the small nipple under the passenger side TB via the metal hard pipe. The line with a single red dot is the purge line, you can't see the connection at the canister, but its directly below the blue vac signal line, this again connects the the stock hard line and on into the engine bay, where I've followed what nissan did and connected it to the balance tube on the passenger side, I could have connected it to the spare nipple on the air intake tube (seen in pic 3 red arrow) which is used in the stock setup as a constant purge line from the stock canister, s13 canisters dont have the extra purge line or the vac signal line to open it. Here you can see(pink dot) the breather setup from a stock canister, back in its original position (I dont through anything away) Its a good idea, if you dont have this part, to at least connect the breather back up onto the nipple (pink dot pic 1) at the chassis rail. Thats it:zlove:
