hello guys, just upgraded the rotor, looks really good and you can see more about the calipers. tell me what do you think. cheers BEFORE AFTER OLD and NEW ADAPTER
i have done the same, to be honest, not much:x btw, the contact surface between the pads and the rotor, if stock setup is 100%, how many % for this setup?
The pads are further out so theoretically should be able to give more brake power using the same pedal pressure.
there is big differece on the brake. yes the brake pads do overhang but not much, about 1.5-2mm. if stock setup is 100%, i would 95% for this setup and still heaps of room btween the rim.
that's true, should be only if the contact area is the same (or in some proportion) however now yes the pads move further, but at the same time you lose some contact area between rotor and pads, so may not be the case ? (perhaps i lose too much contact area, so dont feel big difference)
Looks nice are you goignt o paint the calipers or clean them up a bit so they match the wheel a bit nicer? Also in the intrest of safety get rid of those tyres though before they kill you. Those things are deadly in the wet and thats on an NA, so if you have a TT! look out in the rain.
well just runing this capliers for now and see if they are cause any problems, and later i am going to either paint the calipers(not sure about the colour yet) or upgrade them. thanks about the tyre, i already booked in for new sets of tyres on friday, so all good. BTW, how did you know that my tyres are worn badly???
I didn't, I just recognised the brand, that is the worst tyre on the market, even when it has got tread on it.
you mean dogbone or adaptor something like that? the problem is my calipers are abit too big, they are 296mm, (vs stock zed 280mm) i my have three choices: bigger rotor, smaller caliper or find other adaptor :/
Nice... Nice upgrade Andy. I did the same to mine earlier this year. One of the best upgrades I've done I think. You should paint the calipers dude to keep it clean looking... Cheers Rob.
