So my zed seems to have had something done to it by the previous owner, that caused front fenders to stand out compared to the doors They do align in every other spot as far as I can tell. Trying to figure out what exactly is this mod, have the fenders been pumped to make them look wider, or is it something as simple is some washers being added to make them standout. Or some kind of aftermarket fenders? Reason why I'm trying to determine this is because the passenger side bumper mount started to tear off, so i'm thinking what's the best fix for that would be - get it welded, or get another fender. And if this isn't something as simple as a couple of washers and I get another fender, is it going to still look like this, or will I need to get a pair to make sure they are symmetrical on both sides.
Your pinch welds/sills have proberly been bent up due to incorrect jacking. Grab some vice grips and bend them back straight if so. Over the years ive seen this countless times, mainly r and s chassis'.
yes, they are quite bent (almost flat in some spots). it was one of the things i wanted fixed. i thought this was an intentional mod, but you might be right
