    red32 You talkin' to me?

Just a selection of the 150 or so pics I took Yesterday at the Concourse organised by the Melbourne branch of the Nissan-Datsun Sports Owners Club:
Overall view , and most of the Z32's attending
    [IMG][IMG]

The ultimate sleeper... notice the sun-visor, embroidered seat covers and the venetian blind in the rear window. Beneath the alternater lurks a turbocharged 13B Mazda rotary
    [IMG][IMG]

The original Prince Skyline GT's were out in force. And quite a few 240Z's
    [IMG][IMG]

260 and 280 Zeds were there in force
    [IMG][IMG]

as were the 300's. A couple of sweet Z31's in Standard, and "Californian" guise):
    [IMG][IMG]

And, of course, the Z32's (and I managed to snag entry number "32". Pity it was printed in black!)
Mikey ( I don't think 'ZZZZX' has ever been shinier) and Pete
    [IMG][IMG]
    ('Wykked's shine courtesey of Red32)
'DREDZ' and 'ROYSZX' also came up well
    [IMG][IMG]

Then, of course, there's the Noxters' convertible, with the air-brakes and spoiler deployed. Pity you've got to stop the car, get out, and manually raise the spoiler. A couple of 240K Skyline GTR's also turned up
    [IMG][IMG]

Skylines. There seemed to be thousands of them... 31 or 32 from memory, quite appropriate.
    R31 2-door and 4-door. Nice RED GTS
    [IMG][IMG]

R31+ (I get lost with the model numbers after the R31) 2-door and 4-door
    [IMG][IMG]

And, of course, there's always someone who's into graphic arts
    [IMG]

Rather funny, really. This guy had his sound system going for part of the day... Doof-doof, fully-fully! Then Roy let Dean (little Roy) watch 2-Fast, 2-Furious on his in-car DVD, with the volume turned up. Every time there was a screech of tyres, or a siren, it was interesting to note the number of heads searching the nearby roads for the perpetrators.

All-in-all, a BRILLIANT day, sitting in a park on the banks of the Yarra, in one of the fantastic Spring days Melbourne is famous for.

the skylines you dont know im pretty sure are R34 and R33 you can usually tell by the front lights :)

Or the tail-lights. I think this one is an R34

Just as well you didn't come. Otherwise we would have been as common as Skylines!:LOL:

BTW, those speakers had revolving neons... Rice, rice, Baby!

yeah that one is the R34.. i can only tell from the front lights  i get puzzled over the R33 and R32 rear lights... that car looks pretty rice its the one that was at the heathcote drags too...and that spoiler is really strange (stuck to the side of the car)...
Craig said there was heaps of skylines and not too many zeds..

I had a chat to the owner of that R34...

It would seem that he's re-living his childhood, as he's in his 50's and totally loves rice and he also loved the way over-riced AutoSalon. :) Of course, there's nothing wrong with that and Good On 'im...:thumbsup:

What a fantastic way to spend a lazy Sunday arvo...

Although that wasn't the case for all of us, as some had to do the judging (ie. Peter, Mikey and Jack) :). As Doug said, Melbourne once again didn't disappoint with the terrific run of Spring weather . It was my first time at an NDSOC concourse and it never ceases to surprise me who you may meet at events like these (see below). I thought the location was a bit tucked away being at Como park, but that was not a problem. The company was great, the day was second to none and the snags were just YUMMY! :D

Here are some pics I took of the day :

The Z32 line up from the rear.

Just in case you haven't noticed, I'm convertible biased when it comes to taking pictures . Despite being persuaded into entering the car for judging, I declined. The picture doesn't show it but the car was really filthy inside, I guess that's the price you pay for having no roof. Pete did give it a bit of a polish but still I wasn't game enough to enter it .

Peter bribed these two promo girls to sit on his headlights :LOL:. You lucky bugger!

Roy followed suit :LOL:. You lucky bugger!

Not wanting to miss out on the FUN, I too followed suit.:LOL: Aren't I a lucky bugger. :p
    [IMG]

This is me with Brian Canham, the lead singer of that fantastic 80's band, Pseudo Echo. He owns a 280ZX and is quite fanatical about his car.

So there you go, the 2005 NDSOC Concourse over for another year. :)

    See Ya.

I coaxed the gals in to that pic...>>>

;)Not sure about Sue doing the same, but hey, these gals were at least tasteful compared to the auto salon...

Roy, I had an over limit reply message...

from your ISP provider. What's the maximum size you're allowed on this provider. The pic is about 3.50Mb in size.

Nice pics Noxter, but you need to pay more attention...

In the first pic of the promo girls, the blonde one is clearly holding a sign saying "LOOK & ADMIRE, BUT PLEASE DON'T TOUCH"

And where are your hands in your group photo ;):p:LOL:

    looks awsome,
i should have come down but after spending 6 hours at auto salon i just wanted to get home.
Some of those cars at auto salon where horrible.

7 300zx's at auto salon this time (some not that good).

    Great writeup (as usual) Doug......>>

And a big thank you for the work polishing the WYKKED machine while I spent Saturday with my hands in another members engine bay (I'm getting good at doing O2s now). After spending Sunday evening wandering around autosalon nagging Jen (who had the camera) to stop taking pictures of ugly zeds and start taking pictures of promo girls (she said they all looked like trash), I was suprised to hear that she had taken a picture with the Calder girls on the car.

Since Jack (with assistance) judged the Z32's while Mikey and I judged everything from a Prince Skyline to an S14 (and a lot in between) we will all know who to thank/blame when we do/don't win :p:thumbsup::LOL:.

The problem with film cameras ........

is that you get the results nearly 2 months after the event! Anyway, 'twas a great day at the concourse although we don't yet know if any trophys were won by our crew. 2 weeks from tonight at the NDSOC AGM all will be revealed.

Here's the second version of "I see red, I see red, I see re-ed". Mine up front, then Pete's, then Doug's. Wonder if Lou's gonna get her pink paintbrush out again?

    Another look at lil' wykked.
And they were the only 2 shots I took on the day - after these were taken I got roped into judging, and all I did was carry the cameras round with me and not take any shots.

Most disappointing thing about the day - NO-ONE TOLD ME THE PROMO GIRLS WERE DOING SHOTS WITH THE Z32's!!!! Yeah, I know capitals is shouting ... BUT THAT'S BECAUSE I AM SHOUTING!!!

Anyway, on the same film I had some shots of the NDSOC Phillip Island track day back in September.

Pete passing the pink Silvia on Pit Straight.

A closer look at Pete entering turn 1. I think getting a possie there this weekend is gonna be vewy vewy hard!

Bolwell, Ferrari 550, and Datsun 260Z. All nice cars - and despite what some members were saying about the sound of the fazza - I like it :p:p:p.

Till the next lot of pix comes out, cheers, RZM.
