dude that looks awesome, well done
also how many metres of suede did you need for the trims??
He only sells the genuine leather covers
I got a total of 5 metres but you could get away with 4 easy IF you dont make any mistakes like I did once or twice
Give this stuff a go: http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/mothers/back_to_black
haha i think ill go the 5 meters espically if rod is helpin me lol
and how much was the glue from bunnings?
It comes in like 200/500/1000ml containers, they are about $15 per tin
Lookin good mate. Is that as tight as you could get them though? Look a bit loose and wrinkly. The suede came up great! Good work!
no they're not glad you pointed that out, this morning I fixed that up because I had forgotten to hook the bottom part of the covers onto the small hooks that are on the sides of the seats. Its pulled nice and tight now
Oh good to hear... Nothing worse than loose fitting leather. Doesnt matter what quality, it always looks cheap. Did you use foam to fill and buff the seats up? I would think the covers would already come with it no?
that looks awesome dude nice work.
i always wanted to do this just money and time
yeah they come with foam padding all stitched in so it fills it out nicely
Would you be able to post up some photos after tightening the leather?
Looks great mate
Got a rough estimate on the price for the whole thing?
I always wanted leather seats, didnt know it was as simple as covers like that, will be buying all genuin leather seat covers when i can afford lol, thanks for posting ebay site.
on a sidenote has anyone had the fake leather ones? how does it compare to the real?
get some new pics up mate, esp if u have tightened them up they will look alot better than the pics you showed.
the suade looks great
did u have door arm rests of did u make them ????
get a new handbrake rubber from coz
I'm not a big fan of suede, but this looks really nice! Especially with the leather seats.
If I wasn't selling mine, I would be right onto this. I retrimmed the vinyl on my targas a few weeks back, and it makes a HUGE difference! If anyone's thinking of doing DIY retrim, it really is quite simple, you just have to have patience. I found it was really easy to use a spray on adhesive. I grabbed K&H contact adhesive from work (repco), and it worked really well.
We found "vinyl backed suede" at textile traders. I think it's something like $14 a metre, buy 2 metres get one free. It's great and you can use either the vinyl, or the suede and both stick very well and with the vinyl on one side it stops the glue from seeping through onto the suede!
well done dude it looks sweet as!
Yeah I'll put new pictures up soon.
The ebay seller makes the armrest's aswell
Ahh....bugger they are only in WA!
