MY ENCOUNTER WITH THE SUPRA CLUB

hey guys, today on the way home from uni i ran into some guys from the supra club. one of them was my mate and we started talking and then the convo started about the 300zx. i was alone and they bagged the living hell out of our cars. saying there na supras keep up with the tt z and that our cars are "fake". all the material in them are shit quality and that no1 imports them anymore cause there waste of money. these guys were the greatest bunch of wankers i have met for a while

Yeh. Who cares what they think. Just makes the shocked look on their face when they get beaten even more priceless.

NA supra will lose around 2-3 car lengths just from a 2nd gear pull to a TTZ running in decent condition (stock), at least, that's what I saw.

Personally, I prefer people thinking the Z has nothing on them. Means we don't get a lot of the immaturity on our forum associated with people wanting the car just because it's all the rage.

That's just my opinion though.

Edit: Don't let a few people ruin your opinion of the supra crowd though. I know a few owners and they're cool, and the NA that lost those 2-3 car lengths gave the thumbs up, so they're not all idiots.

 

i went on a supra cruise from the supraforum in my 300zx, they were inquisitive at the start, like kids and insects, but then they started getting cocky, basicly saying how shit 300zx's are in general.

so long story short, the cockiest guy there with the 'quickest' supra at the mini meet according to everyone lined up nexto me, we pulled up at kfc later on and i bragged about how i kicked his ass, but they still insisted 300zx's are shit.. go figure.

 

Just call their bluff. Issue is, only chicken shits can shoot off their mouths and not back it up.

Tell em they are full of shit and if they are right they have nothing to lose.

The NA's are garbage in my opinion, have smashed many of them, im NA as well, so cant comment on the Supra TT but sheez.....thats the biggest load of poo ive heard in a long time.

driven NA zeds, NA supras and TT zeds, TT zed wins hands down, i preferred the NA zed but that could just be me being biased, but both the NA zeds and Supras were not running well

 

There is a video clip (YouTube?) showing a

comparison of a 300ZX TT with a Supra TT and the zed won all tests including 0-60 lapsed time as well as handling. The testers were less than impressed with the sequential twin turbo set up on the Supra and commented how smooth the power delivery of the zed was. I think it was a test conducted by a respected American sports car magazine.

I can't search for it at work as it is deemed 'entertainment' but get your hands on the video and send it to your Supra buddies.

BTW aus300zx forum is deemed 'essential' viewing while at work

 

Exactly. Tell them to shut up and let the car do the talking. They will keep going bla bla bla your car is crap compared to ours, waste of time & fuel racing you etc etc. Then you tell them I just said stop mouthing off, otherwise I will be wasting some of your teeth instead of your fuel

They are morons. I dragged an NA supra and a kawasaki ninja couple of years back when my old Z was close to stock. The bike had me by a car length but the supra was far behind, back somewhere in barina territory

 

Yeah. My first car was a Supra TT back in the states, and my club was pretty cool. We'd even allow GM cars with us on cruises and track days, where we'd end up talking about the merits of the non-jz powered vehicles that accompanied us.

I have a lot of friends in Supra clubs here in Australia who are also awesome guys. They're all auto-enthusiasts who just happen to prefer the Supra. They have a great attitude towards pretty much all-things-auto.

The thread should be renamed to:
