Howdy All,[image]http://sonny.infoxchange.net.au/gti/dyno.jpg[/image]Finally got my car dyno tuned last saturday, the day before Melbourne Tech Day. Spoke to a few people on the Tech Day how I went, I thought I'd let all of you know.
The dyno tuning went great, the reason why I wanted to retune it was because there was a bit of things I fixed on my car which kinda messed up the settings on the ecu, while driving I can feel it struggles at times and runs a bit rough. It is now all fixed.
The figures above is pretty much the max we could get out of my ecu, the only downfall is my ecu, if I want more power, the ecu needs to be updated along with bigger injectors, which is not on wish list. I have problem with traction enough as it is, there's no point in having power which you can't put to the wheels.
Now I have a pocket rocket, next step is to make it into a space shuttle.
    Peace

    Egg ....

    Lot of power...

...for such a light car. Must be runnin' 12's with 125KW's. :)
Only thing is it's not real smooth, Tay... what would be causing those fluctuations?
    Cheers,

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Them's real good numbers, Tay>>>

If the power-to-weight Gods were fair, based on your figures, I'd be making 290rwKw. Unfortunately, the Gods are not that kind!!!Well done, "Swift-boy"Cheers,

    Fluctuations...

Hi Paul,The cause of those fluctuations is due to the limitations of the engine management system, I have an aftermarket Turbo Link Piggy Back ECU, and it doesn't let you play with much, all the piggy back is doing is controlling the 5th injector which is located just before the throttle body, in theory this method is meant to be good but it's not that flash hot.
When we were tuning the Link computer, it would only let us tune it in 1 unit up or down, not 0.5 unit up or down, so we had a problem when it was running either too lean or too rich, we couldn't get it to be smack in the middle.Peace
