Change of plans Kirby and I will be going to the holiday house on Saturday with tekkkyyyyyy then come to the track in the morning.

 

Phew, Its been a hectic few days.

The car is ready as it gonna be, noisey wheel bearing changed, clutch pedal adjusted, extinuisher in, bonnet hold down made, semislicks on and new wheel alignment based on a track GTST shouldnt be too far off.

Ok lets go racing

I hope the clutch will be up to this thrashing and the minor slip issue fixed.

 

I haven't even started mine. Lol. All good I'll get around to it.

Have seen the listings. Looks liek they have separated me from the 300zx group. Not sure what is happening there. I am with a whole heap of clubbies. I suppose that is what I am................. Hopefully I can swap.

You guys are in Group 5; Dave's Evade is running in 2 and 4.
And either Tekky and Alex are running destroked or thick sleeved VG30's, or they aren't aware of the correct turbo factor - 2960cc x 1.7 = 5032cc .

5 Z32's are running, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Robins 370Z performs, also in Group 5.

I'm assuming the new guys and interstaters running are aware of the requirement for a cloth shopping bag or similar to locate the Dorian timer?

 

My guess is that the Evade was put into the groups it is in due to the fact it is dual entered. Very interesting group we are in with two GT40 replicas running with us. Personally I plan to follow Rob around and learn some lines.

 

I am gonna let you lot go first and take up the rear. I figure if I give you guys a 30 second head start its unlikely i will catch up to you. (well maybe just the 370z anyway )

Doesnt matter who finishes first, just who is the fastest. Clear road FTW

No one will really know who should be where on the start line till after the first session. After that its easy to try and give everyone a fair go by stacking the order they go out. This way everyone can get a bit of clear road.

 

If it is wet I want to be at the front. Spray at 200ks is a bitch.

 

Bugga, I wanted last spot to let all you quick guys run away and hide whilst I explore the hi-speed grip of the 370 ... unfortunately I have not had time to fit the data logger given the engine failure in my Marque Sports car last weekend at Sandown and the need to get an engine built for 24/25 July. All been a bit frantic really.

Sunday forecast says scattered showers easing to isolated loght showers in the afternoon ... winds from SW tending to SE which should keep the circuit dry if the showers truly are "showers".

We were there on the 15th for noisy practise and it was a bit ordinary early, but cleared up and offered good grip from 10am onwareds ...

 

My plan is Togo really really slow.

I think you may be selling yourself and the 370z a bit short there

 

Looks a lot tougher with the 5 spokes and semi's on. They are much lighter than the 18's and the road tyres. Braking is amazingly better. Never had the ABS come on so early before.
