Thanks to mr zed x, kbro3 and mikez32 for visiting me yesterday (Saturday) Was a great day, even though I couldn't find that darned junkyard! I'm sure you all got to see the best, and worst that local roads have to offer. My computer is still crunching the numbers and I have to go visit a dog breeder today so will try to get a few more done tonight. Each image I'm working on at any one time has to go from three 60mb TIFF files into one 32 bit tiff, then some tonemapping, then a bit of extra work in photoshop so it's rather time consuming
Thanks for the shoot Evz, local roads were rather.. interesting to say the least, some of you twisties fanatics would love them, except there is very little room for error, and if your car is very low you'll be scraping your exhaust in places (i'm looking at you Rod! ) Hanging to see the pics, they're probably taking a while because Evan needs to sufficiently photoshop my car so it looks semi-decent hahaha! -Kirill
haha. Nah man, it's taking a white cos the file sizes i'm working with are giant. Trying to get pics as sharp as possible so shot raw and converted to 16 bit TIFF (60 mb files a piece). Then have to run pics through a few programs to get the look i'm after. Will post a few quickies soon
Here are a couple of pics. Converting and working with files is rather slow due to taking all images handheld, and thus needing to use the auto align function while merging to HDR in Photoshop, which takes a long time to crunch the numbers. In hindsight I probably should have pulled out the tripod, but then actually taking the photographs would have taken longer. Still more to come. lol thanks man. Not my best effort I must admit but good practice. I call this one 'battle wounds' Even though I sneakily got both zeds from their worst angles , it shows the eternal struggle between TT and NA. Or some bullshit. Besides the dent in each car...I like this one the most so far.

NOICE WORK Evan! Thanks for having us over. I had plenty of fun just driving around searching for the junkyard and finding photo sites. Good weather for the cruise down there as well, perfect way to spend spend a saturday. So when's the BBQ happening?

lol soon soon you impatient so and so Will try and get the last couple of semi ok pics finished tonight after work and maybe put a thread up in non-tech. Got a few other ideas in mind as well but we'll see how that pans out. And I also have the Holden Honda to post up yet too!

hahah..actually the Agressive stance one is cool too ...just the colours don't stand out as well as the red zeds..
Thanks Renee Only new at any kind of car photography really, and also experimenting with a few newish techniques (and I've only had my camera for a few weeks...and loving it )
