Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the AUS300 events coordinator team are proud to present the first AUS300 NATIONAL DRAG-RACING CHALLENGE. While each state has run various cruises, dyno comps, and show 'n shines, the implementation of an Events Coordinator team has opened the door for us to give all forum the members to participate in some syynchronous, National events, the first of which is to be held over the next three months.

We would like to invite everyone to head down to their local raceway and throw their car down the quarter mile for the chance to win national fame, perhaps a fortune (but perhaps not), trophies, and the respect and adulation of their peers. All members are encouraged to attend a drag event between now and the end of July and submit their timeslip to this thread.

Trophies will be awarded to first and second place in the following categories. Please note places will be judged on all submitted results, this will not be per event or per state.

    • Fastest ET TT Z32
    • Fastest ET NA Z32
    • Fastest ET Late Model Z
    • Fastest Reaction Time

We have included the late model category to provide prizes for members who wish to bring their late model Zs, or for sister clubs who may wish to join us. The fastest RT category allows driver skill to trump budget

    How Can I participate??

    Good question!

Events coordinators are starting to setup events in each capital city to allow members to attend meets as a club. If you can get to one of these this is far and away the best way to participate. Please see below for dates and links, this list will be updated as more events come online.

Perth: Wednesday 14th May at Perth Motorplex
    More info at http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329303

Sydney: Sunday 29th June at Wester Sydney International Dragway
    More info at http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329439

Melbourne: Friday 27th June at Calder Park Raceway
    More info at http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329594

Brisbane: Saturday 28th June at Willowbank Raceway
    More info at http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329538

What if I can't make it to one of the above events??

Never fear! The forum events are there to make participation easy, social, and to offer assistance to any first-timers. If you can't make it to one of these events you are still welcome to attend your local raceway and post your timeslip by July 31st and you will still be eligible for a trophy. Only time slips dated from 1/1/14 to 31/7/14 will be considered eligible for the competition.

So get amongst it people! Please jump on this opportunity to enjoy your car to its full potential in a safe, friendly, encouraging environment. The true prize here is enjoying the company and cameraderie of your fellow forum members, the trophies are nice but at the end of the day it's about getting out and having a go and enjoying the cars that we all know and love. I'll be doing my best to get us a writeup in Performance Imports, but that depends on how much we as a community get behind this. So get out there and have a go.

From what I've heard, 0.1 difference in 60ft can account for 0.2 difference in the 1/4.

At least your MPH were fairly consistent, and even spot on with Fugu's NA Auto 2+2

    State against State?

So aside from NSW and WA is anyone else actually going to have a go at this? 30 days until the competition closes.
