First off here are my compressions (1990 NA 5spd):

    Cylinder 1 = 155 psi
    Cylinder 2 = 115 psi
    Cylinder 3 = 155 psi
    Cylinder 4 = 180 psi
    Cylinder 5 = 150 psi
    Cylinder 6 = 175 psi

Was having a lot of cold hesitation lately with the car feeling like it was driving through a sea of honey or something.
So cleaned mass airflow sensor and throttle body butterfly valves on the weekend, lots of soot in the TB's.
Seems to have improved things quite a bit actually, much smoother now esp at low revs at launch etc. Cold hesitation seems to have gone, so that's good.

Checked TPS which was 0.45V, so ok there.

Idle seemed to have crept up to 1000 now, used to be 800/900. So tonight I adjusted the IAA screw (took a few goes to find it) and brought idle back down to 800. Also unplugged the TPS grey connector and ran engine for a bit. That's what tech section said to do anyway.

Question: do I need to do anything more with consult or something?
Everything seems to running fine now. Only I think the intake valves are on the way out. It misses and shakes a bit on cold mornings.
Anyone had this experience with valves?
    Any suggestions/recommendations?

    cheers

One of your cylinders is stuffed. Check out the compression. TPS and idle adjustments wont help much if the motor is fundamentally crook.

Yeah the average healthy zed motor should have a maximum compression variation between cylinders of 14psi, you have a 65psi difference:eek:
