    Hi everyone,

just wanted to know if anyone can suggest a good leather restorer/treatment, either something one can buy or some 'home tips'.

Thing is that I just pulled off aftermarket seat covers that have been on the leather seats for over 12 years, and the leather seats are in blue colour (rare i guess), in my opinion still too good to get them re trimmed/recovered but obviously it has several cracks etc from age and from hardly, most probably never seeing leather treatment before.

Happy to receive any suggestions or what has worked for you.
    Cheers

    Try using Baby Oil

I was given this tip by a Professional Car Detailer.
Apply Baby Oil on a clean cloth & wipe into leather, then with a second cloth remove any excess & buff it up.
It may take several applications to restore the leather, as it will soak in & may need to be re-applied a few times to get it back to being soft & pliable.
Don't use Armourall, as it eventually dries out the leather & hardens.
Natural oils are defineately the way to go.
I have used this method for several years, not only on my car seats, dash & trim, but also on a friends Helicopter interior leather as well & he couldn't be happier with the result.
Mind you, it does make you tighten up the chopper safety harnesses. ;):rofl:
    Cheers

I use Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner and that seems to keep them looking and feeling good, but I might try the baby oil.

    Thanks for all the replies.

Got told by some detailers that Autoglym should be a good product...?

But i will defs try out the baby oil ;)

Just hope that i dont have to hold on to my handbrake when going into corners due to no grip on the seats :D
