Hi guys. Just wondering where i find the key cut code for my car. I recently bought a Black 300zx key and want to get it cut. The key i have atm doesnt open the boot so i want the master key code for all locks and yes i have searched. Cheers Bruce
Go on ebay and buy the black key and get it cut to the key you have now, the groove in the middle is bigger so it can open everything. The guy cutting the key will probably say that it wont work but it will. Josh
4 digit code will be on the base of the key shaft and that is your key cutting code! Your either using the valet key now or you have a different boot lock barrel! Try to see if your key can lock/unlock your glovebox if not then its the valet key your using and the black key you bought should open all locks provided its a blank master key with the wider centre groove on the key shaft
Go and see your friendly key cutter. I found one who took my old key (no codes etc) and was able to tell me the 4digit code for the key. He even did a cut on a cheap blank and let me test it in the car before he cut my nice new Nissan Blanks. If your main key isn't too worn then I think most key cutters would be able to tell you the code. Beavis
here in the UK the boot locks are notorious for not working with the key mainly due to not getting enough use as you can pop the boot from inside the car using the leaver. To get it to work, means taking the lock out and disassembling it, cleaning it up and giving it some loving with some lube. reassemble and try the key before fitting to the car.
