Hi guys, has beena long time since iv been on here. Long story short iv had my 300zx in storage for the past 10yrs. Car did start and drive but I put it away as I bought a newer car for work. Iv just pulled it out of storage and now back at mine. Reason why I havnt sold it or done anything with if is because the bottom radiator support beam has cracked straight through. I had no idea about it untill I saw the cracks appearing around the right hand side strut tower and above the chassis rails. Thanks to a tyre workshop they jacked it in the wrong spot. Now I love this car to peices and has alot of history behind it but I want to know is it worth fixing? How much? Would it be worth doing custom bar work? And getting it back all running again. Thanks guys

"worth fixing" equals Yes if you really mean "I love this car to pieces" It just really depends on whether you have the money to repair the damage. Take the car to a body repairer and ask for a quote If the car is already gutted so they just have to purely repair, that would keep cost down. For peace of mind, get an engineers report/cert for the welds on the structural points

Those cracks around the strut tower will have been exacerbated from a previous accident, jacking from the radiator support alone won't cause that kind of damage. From the pictures it definitely looks repairable and a body shop would be best placed to price it. Cracks in the strut towers can be welded and the radiator support would likely be best replaced with a good used part as it looks like it could be a bit rusty.

I would have a body shop do a full inspection though as there may be more damage not immediately visible, or the bay may be slightly tweaked and require realignment. It looks like a relatively tidy example though so could warrant spending the money to get it fixed up.
