Hi all, We had 16 Zeds on todays cruize to Tarago. It was agreat turnout with cars travelling from as far as Talbingo, Sydney and Melbourne as well as local cars. Lunch was great at the Loaded Dog hotel ... Good food + good company = a good day. Thanks Ian for organising yet another successful cruize. cheers, Peter A few pics:
A GREAT Cruise it was>> as you said Peter, good company, nice day & good roads always makes for a top day out with you lot from Canberra, plus the Sydney regulars, not to mention Doug (DREDZ) or is that (RED32) all the way up from Melbourne. Well done Ian & Judy.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Cheers Kerry :zlove:
Thanks to the Canberra mob for letting us invade their turf..... the Loaded Dog has to be the smallest pub I've ever patronised, but the car park was pretty impressive. It was something different for us Sydneysiders, we're used to 7 hr cruises but this was a 4hr round trip to participate in a 3 hr cruise. There hasn't been a 3hr cruise this long since Gilligan's Island  I never realised the Canberra crew had such good taste; an abundance of : RED zeds:thumbsup: You're all welcome to wander up our way anytime ! Thanks Ian & Janet
i never got an email for the cruise also.. IB.. when did you get ur front end. now ur car looks like mine
Whose car is second from the right in the 1st pic? And are there any more photos - it looks awesome!
Thanks Ian great cruise today, very well organised I think Chilli, Ian and Mrzee all gained a few years on the highway back to sydney :LOL: Gotta love the old car trailer  Cheers, Chris
Thanks Ian & Judy, for another great day out. As Chris has reported, zx299, CHILI, and MrZee, had front row seats to an exciting Demolition Derby on the way out of Goulburn. An old 4-wheel drive, towing an equally old car trailer, and carrying an even older Gemini Club Rally car, decided it would be nice if it became a unicycle. I was following this piece of "collective crap", when the trailer started to wander from side to side. Being very astute, I quickly decided this was NOT a design feature I was familiar with, and began an overtaking move. When I was alongside, the trailer chose to discard it's left-hand wheel, quickly followed by a brake drum, an assortment of brake-shoes and other sundry items. All of this was accompanied by an amazing "light show" of vivid orange sparks and smoke. Very tasteful entertainment, but totally unwanted at this particular time. Zx299, and MrZee, were treated to an opportunity, to display some of that nimble car control that we all know they can produce "on-call".
Wish I was there .. What's a cruize withou its highlights - you Sydneysiders certainly set the benchmark for entertainment! A great day. cheers, Peter
Great cruise Always love cruising with you guys. Special thanks to all our interstate zedders that make the ACT cruises so much fun.
Who said that HICAS was a useless product ? It certainly comes in handy for quick manoeuvres when trying to avoid "exploding" car trailers
Sorry i missed this one Looks like you all had a good time, Big thanks to Chili and Mr zee for picking up the tyres from ltd for me.
What's with NSW highways and locusts? Just managed to clear out the last of the Gilgandra locusts a few weeks ago. So I go to Canberra last weekend for IBs Tarago cruise and, bingo, these bloody thing seem to live on the highway. I thought they were supposed to eat grass and stuff... you don't find much of that on the blacktop these days... copped this lot between Holbrook and Tarcutta... Got the superficial stuff off OK, but now I'll have to go back inside the engine bay and look for the rest. (Mmmmmmmm! the smell of roasting grasshopper!) Enough whinging! Great cruise IB (Poor bugger on that motorcycle outfit must have wondered what the hell was happening!). Really good to meet up with the ACTors and NSWobblers again, and to put some new names and faces to Forum nicks. Left Canberra this morning about 9, lost about 90 minutes in Albury (lunch and roadworks) and got home about 10 past 4 this arvo. Amazing how quickly you can get from one place to another if you can maintain a steady cruising speed. I set the cruise control to HWY+10kph (120 and 110) and covered the 600+kms in 5 and a half hours travelling time, without being stupid or booked! Anyway... Goulburn, Dudes!
re: You replied to the e-mail...>> now... dont i feel like an idiot! i remember now oops .... ps... thankx for quoting my whole email in the forum
