we have a weighbridge at work so after all the stripping and gutting i decided to get it corner weighed. im pretty stoked with getting the total weight into Silva territory and just have to concentrate on getting it all even now. this isn't with me in the car so i'll take that into consideration and obviously a cage will add heaps to it but there is still heaps more to come out.

Thats impressive. If I were you I'd be more worried about distrubution than total weight at this point.

If you are adding a cage, it should bring a bit of the weight onto the rear? Have you relocated battery and stuff to the boot?

    Nice effort:cool:

now that I know what it weighs at each corner I can concentrate on getting it as close to 50:50 as I can. the battery is on the passenger floor at the moment but I might put it up the back now.

Great work! I want to strip some weight too soon, would you mind posting some pics of your interior so I can see what's been done?

all the stereo, aircon and the wiring for everything i've taken out has been fully removed. i filled a whole Sulo bin with just wires and conduit.

this shot shows the harness pulled apart to get at the wires and where they are joined, massive job. the only thing behind the dash now is a harness half the size of the original.

Is it legal to drive a car on the road like that ?. It looks very clean all stripped out. Did you have to spray the inside of the car or are they actually that clean once stripes out?.
I'm starting to like this look.

nah man its not legal but its not a road car anymore. i wish it was legal to drive with a stripped interior because i would've done this long ago. under the carpet it was blue like the rest of the car but when i took off all the sound deadener (yes all of it!!) it was yellow underneath that. i rubbed all the paint back a bit, used a wire wheel to get out most of the ugly seam sealer in obvious places and painted it all silver. it looks heaps neat now plus its easy to keep. im a detailer and this kind of interior is a god send.

yeah slicktop 2 seater, or one now. last time on a dyno was about 3 years ago and was only making 234kw at the wheels. it ran a 12.7 at WSID so im keen to go back now for a run. it'll be fun because now on just 10psi boost it spins wildly and kicks out sideways in a big rush in third gear when before it wouldn't. dorifto!
