Great work, the finish is clean and not over down. Being a Zedaphile I would have loved to see the VG engine remain. The only other thing that caught my eye was I would have changed the rear spoiler. Not the nicest one available IMO........maybe a Brazilian or the OEM one with the integrated third brake light. Great work though it's a real head turner.

    The only

thing a vg lacks is c,i's, apart from that it's an extremely good engine.

    are you kidding me???
thats the best spoiler you can get, nissan did a great job the 1st time around with the stock spoiler and this one has improved on it by updating the look with the use of the 3rd brake light infill panel.

one of the best, way ahead of it's time which is probably what helped lead it to it's down fall. too costly and complicated for the average mechanic here in aus especially back in the day. Combine that with falling prices reaching the hands of people who can afford to buy but not actually maintain, well the story plays itself out really.

Interesting, everyone see's something different. I just went back and had another look at it and I must admit I didn't find it as offensive this time. It's not bad, I just find that most spoilers are too dominating and their lines rarely flow well with the natural lines of the car. I think this one would look better if it was smaller all over. Have a look in this photo:

It almost lies at a tangent to the natural lines of the car (also why I like the Brazilian look). If it was smaller and flattened out on top a little more it would work better, but to me ATM it looks like the only piece on the car that was glued on later. I realise these things are alway a personal preference, it's one of the reasons these cars are always interesting.......there is no single one the same (excluding stock).

many guys who have worked on cars a little buy a Z hinking they know what they are doing, they take one look under the hood and go "bugger that"

and never get past an oil change or plugs....

then a water line goes, and they come up dirt cheap for sale, or end up off the road for 6 months until they can pay somebody to do it...

i believe if a vg is maintained well it is a good reliable engine. many people just dont bother because the engine bay is so crowded, hence they are considered very impractical to most people....

but thats alright, in 5 years only purists will own them, they are going through the "****wit phase" currently, alot of neglect alot getting parted, hence snap them up now.... get all the bits while cheap, then hang onto it.

the z values will climb again.
