    COONA CONSUMPTION ..have just compiled my fuel consumption

    records for the coona trip plus my extended run to the Murray and return ... a total of 390.19 litres of petrol and 3,675 kms .... for an average 10.62 litres per 100km.

    best sector was 9.42 litres per 100km while the worst was 12.12 per 100km ... thank god that i did not keep a record of petrol cost ...!!!:thumbsdown::(:(:(:(

    would be interested in seeing comparisons if others kept records of their trip...????..:zlove::zlove::rolleyes::)

    Baroo TIMMAY!

    Comparison for you Baz.

    Totals 2188kms travelled and 214.59Ltrs used paid just over $300:angry:.

    Best:thumbsup: 9.26 Ltrs/100Kms (Coona => Narrandera)552km

    Worst:thumbsdown: 10.61 L/100Kms (Narrandera => Melbourne)480km

    Average 9.81 L/100Kms

    Not too bad compared to what it used to be and all the while on one shoddy/faulty O2 sensor that I had replaced recently. So can only get better.

    Coona was well worth it!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

    thanks, mate .. looks like i might need to do some fine tuning ..

    although two of my worst sectors cannot be discussed under the provisions of the 5th amendment ...:LOL::LOL:

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Didn't bother this time, BB. But previous results for my NA have been in

    the mid-8's/100km eg Goulburn - Melbourne, 649km on 56L. Well tuned NA should easily get 700-750km per tank, TT slightly less. One of these days, I'll put a full jerry-can in the back, fill 'er up, and see just how far she will go. Also, you will get better mileage (kilometerage?) on 98RON fuel, usually sufficient to offset the higher initial cost. E5 or E10 ethanol fuels will give much worse consumption (apart from other problems), but again overall cost may enter into the equation (ie. may be cheaper per km)

    thanks, doug ..... yep the fact that i mostly used ron 95 might be an

    issue along with a heavy foot on the first two sectors ..g/c-warwick and warwick-nanandera(?) and a/c on thses sectors would not have helped too much ...

    for next long cruise/trip will definitely go ron98 all the way to get a better comparison...
