Few members down there representing the 300s. The morning was very cold and great for the turbos The rain also thankfully stayed away the whole day. The car performed really well despite the tuning not yet finished, one blown fuse and one new upper radiator hose were the only casualties. Developed a small pin hole leak, lucky we spotted it, requiring a trip to repco for a replacement. Franz has some great footage from incar. Should be seeing that in the next few days. Unfortunately one session we didnt get any video of was me riding with Franz. Damn Franz can really drive. It was really white knuckle stuff as he pushed the car fairly hard. I had just finished doing some laps with Franz orientating me to the track then he had a go. It was reasonably sedate for the first lap. There was a really loud, fully worked v8 ute that was going quite hard and we were matching it quite easy on the straight. When I said to Franz " you know I reckon we could take that ute on the straight" it was on Franz quickly planted it, started braking late and overtaking some cars to catch up. We were cornering going sideways and Franz had amazing control of the vehicle, I thought were would of been in for a few 180s at least. We were up the ass of the ute in no time. However when we were overtaking cars going sideways I finally had to ask Franz to back off a bit Really amazing driving. Anyway, should be heaps of footage. Another one with Franz driving and he ends up doing a spin in a corner he really got to love and if you look closely as the car is spinning you should also see Daniel in his red zed spining out in front of Franz' spin with a GTR trying hard to miss them both Was really good fun. Hope to see more WA guys at future events.
