GOTTAGO,s Rebuild No:1

My mates a Spraypainter by trade and is going to respray the hole car for me, So it will be like brand new.

 

FINALLY, My Engine is Ready to go Back in its home, Just waiting on the clutch and 2 more bits for the motor, Heres some pics and info on what I have done.


some Braided Fuel lines to Finish of the top

Got the turbos from a fourm member with 1000ks use, still like newthere quite large
with .86 rear housings and the front not far off, I put HKS Acuators on them and Z1
Stanless Dumps, there good for 350hp each, Braided oil and water line and new Metal Nismo Gaskets and a rebuilt power steer hose.

I have Pretty Much replaced every thing on this engine, Except Intenalls and am Aiming for around 350kw atw, I just want to hear her roar again

 

So what turbos are they?

Motor looks great in the colours you've chosen, very nice way to do it all.

 

Don't no what turbos they are, just Gerneric ones found them over in the stats for around $400 each new, Like a GT28R but with a bigger Exhaust housing.

 

What did you use to clean up your gearbox before painting it? Just thinners?

 

First I cleaned it with Fuel, then lots of sanding to clean of 20years of dirt and grim, then more.
Don't skimp on paint, use good stuff.

 

They are the ones I got off Horsepowerfreak (from brisbane), I sold them to a member in vic and then he sold them to gottago (brisbane)

They have done a tour of the country and returned home haha.. I am looking forward to seeing how they go!

Well i have been doing the drivetrain, Might aswell do the Suspention too.
Arse end is ready to go Just waiting on the Diff gasket, All new bushing thoughout and Paint aswell, Im using subframe locking collers.

What a prick to Get back in, Its running and has one little leak coming from top feed oil line to the left turbo, What fun to fix.

Just the Boot and a few other things left to do now, Been busy getting it ready for the Paint job, It will have 5 coats of primer when Im done.
