the price of the mufflers sounds low.

i paid $390 each for my mufflers and that wasn't including installation.

    Beware of cheap mufflers>

some are made of thin steel and are just of dodgey quality all together. What are you getting for the $400 lowering job?

    for the lowering

I got quoted $400 for some King Springs, and the other place I'm not sure of the brand, but I'm assuming they're King Springs also as the amount that I'm lowering it by is exactly the same.. 30mm

    be weary of lowering....

as I understand it, lowered zeds chew through tyres really quickly if not setup properly. The setting up includes more than just a good wheel alignment. You may need to get some adjustable arms for your suspension to counter act the inside of your tyres wearing out. I may be wrong, but I remember something along these lines. Do a search and you may find your answers.Cheers

    Bingo

My baby is lowered and yes, without front adjustable upper control arms you'll be wearing through the inner tread on your front tyres way quicker than before. Fact: by lowering the car, the front camber is kicked out. Before putting her in to a suspension shop in Toowoomba, the camber was -3deg left and -2.5deg right. Now, it's -2deg both left and right... that's as good as he could get it. To put this in perspective, "legal" for a roadworthy is no more than -1deg.She handles like she's on rails, but my front tyres are brand new on the outer edge and very shiny on the inner edge :)As for front adjustable upper control arms, yes, they will allow you to bring the camber back in to normal, however, I know of no design that currently complies with ADR standards. I'm still looking...Cheers,

Mines lowered and fronts last forever

its the inner rears that wear down quick

    Thanks Guys

They're having a bit of trouble getting some lowered springs for the ZED down to Melbourne. I'm getting the mufflers tomorrow, and I'm awaiting a call from the spring place hopefully so I can get the monkeys in tomorrow aswell. My Z is an aus-spec and it kinda looks like a 4wd at the moment. Do the Aus-Specs sit higher than the imports when standard? Thanks for the help anyway guys, if I have trouble with the tyres then I'll have to get these adjustable arms also, but I'll wait and see how we go.Cheers ;)
