    Hey guys.
I have recently got the pleasure of getting my grandpa’s cars going again. He passed away 3 years ago, prior to that he had a few unfortunate things that made him unable to maintain and enjoy his baby’s.
The first car is a 1963 Holden EJ wagon.
This car was his absolute baby seeing as he inherited it from his father when the time came. His father bought it new.

Second car being his project. A LC Holden Torana
Take the word project very lightly seeing as the car is bog stock with its brown interior and white body.

Third car is a Austin Healey Sprite.
This car my mother learnt to drive in and drove until she upgraded.
My mother passed away in 4 years ago from breast cancer so this car I feel the most connected to and am most excited to drive.

Forth car being nothing less then the morris minor
This was my grandma’s first car and the stories I have been told of the family trips they’ve taken in this car.

Gonna try stay on top of this and take photo’s and videos, will post updates as I go!

    Best of luck!
From some who has many cars they are all going to keep you busy.

Biggest piece of advice, don't keep them in a non-running state. You will loose movation on it.

I got the EJ running so that’s one down. Tried to move it under its own power but I suspect the clutch has rusted to either the pressure plate or flywheel. Need to remove the lower bel housing and see if I can free it up. Would love to replace it but that’s a job for another day.

Put it in gear and hit the starter. That might be enough to free it. Still a good idea to replace.

Yeah tried that mate. Wasn’t having it. I put a fresh clutch in it thismorning and it was the first time she saw sun light in Atleast 15 years

Great advice mate. Add to that, when you start working on one car -

be careful of the "while you're at it, you might as well..." syndrome.
Before you know it half of the car is stripped down and you've lost track of what went where, and what to do next. And 97300ZX is tackling 4 cars at once. Ouch.

Put the car in neutral, start it up and once theres a bit of heat into the engine, keep it in neutral hold the clutch pedal down and give it some revs higher up in the rev range, repeat it a few times and see how it goes. over the years ive had to work on quite a few oldies and it normally gets the trick done.

I totally get that. Sometimes we need to get a bit agricultural with things to wake them up from a long sleep. But it seems the OP has already replaced the clutch on that EJ ?

Yes the EJ already went under the knife, I ended up just replacing it. Parts were cheap enough and way to easy to do!
Gotta rebuild the front calipers due to them being very stuck, I’ll strip them off and bring them to work. Can do then on my lunch break.

Lunch break - sandwich in one hand, spanner in the other. Aah the memories.
PS, even new brake fluid tastes like panther piss, just a couple of drops will spoil the best sandwich. Unless you have Hot English Mustard in it.

Lol brake fluid isn’t docent go to good on the eyes either! Did the old air gun in the caliper to pop the pistons out and did myself a doozy.
9am brake fluid shower wasn’t what I wanted. Definitely didn’t hop into any customers cars that day….
