Did you manage to sell the stag?

The turbo engine runs just fine at 100 to 110 because you are boosting it to say 15 psi the only problem is that it means its tired but more important is all cyclinders are the same.
And i had a situation where cold it read 145 psi but running went to 45 psi so something is wrong like bent valve etc

Always check this thread for updates :) What's up with the fitment of the passenger foggie in the first pic? I'm assuming the factory reo can't be retained with a FMIC?

Looks good. You need to get a slimline front plate ;)

Lol, didnt notice that til you pointed it out! Back when that first pic was taken there were so many other issues that I guess that foggie's fitment (or lack thereof) never occured to me, seems like the panel beater has fixed it up tho. Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think that the 2k bar had a reo bar, and I have seen OEM early style front bars with FMIC's and reo's...

SIM300, I've been moving around a bit, in fact I'll definitely move once more in the next 7 months. So once I've settle down in another state I'll go chase up some better plates(hopefully WA ones:cool:)

Apparently when slapping on a 2k spec front to an old Z32 you can keep the original reo? I'd be surprised if you could maintain all 3 (fmic) at the same time though...

    Looking good Whoppersandwich,

It makes a world of difference with that front bar all patched up and shiny.

What's the go with those douchebag cannons it has on? Are you doing anything with the drivers side sill?

Finally got round to the old compression issue...

Turned out it was a valve being homosexual. Brytech in Geelong did the reco and replaced that valve and resat the rest. Managed to get the zed to and from Nissan Datsun Nats in Goulbourn last weekend and had an absolute ball. 1800km with a track day thrown in and no issues whatsoever. Was hoping to get the z1 lightweight tailshaft installed too but its on back order in the states so ill have to wait awhile - i figure any mechanic around here can install in anyway.

The engine bay after work was done, was hoping to get the PTU/fusebox relocated to the pass side kick panel but Brian didn't have enough time to get the wiring kit together unfortunately. Given he did the whole reco in 2/3days as well as replace a lot of the bushes with the energy suspension ones I got from coz I really can't complain:zlove:

Many of the NSW crowd went to a couple of cruises with Doug before he passed away.

    This was one of them

Yep, a lot of us met Doug. He would be pleased with what you have done with the car.

    Hey Whoppersandwich,

I still check up on this car all the time via this thread. I'm glad the compression issue was worked out with it only being a valve, I didn't even think of that.

Unfortunately the Stag is a fair bit boatier than this thing, still wish I could have kept it and fixed it up. Glad to see its running properly like when I test drove it now.

Anyway, keep updating the thread, brings back good memories.

    Cheers,

    Sean
