    Hi guys,
I have some gauges to install and have few questions.
The main questions relate to where did you put the sensors for each item.
I need to also lengthen the wires given because they are not long enough from the dash location to the installation point. Can i grab a similar sized wire or should i check the tech specs of the wire and only get the same?

Water Temp ? so far the locations to install the probe are: top of the radiator / the radiator top hose with an adapter / top water hard pipe next to the other stock two sensors
    Oil Temp ????
    Oil Press - ???

Would like to hear from others where they put their sensors or any other pitfalls regarding installation.
I am aware of the requirement to earth the water temp sensor if not reading correctly but any others?
The gauges are at home but from memory they are, auto-pro smoked face gauges, not expensive, less than $200 for all three.

    Any help appreciated
    Cheers Bruce

I installed my water temp sensor by cutting the top radiator hose in half and screwing the sensor into an adapter piece, make sure you get the correct diameter size, to do this I went down to super cheap auto with my radiator hose. As for the oil pressure and temp, you install an oil filter sandwich plate between the bottom of the block and your oil filter, this allows you to screw in these two aftermarket sensors. Then wire which you have solded onto the sensors into the a piller pod or what ever by running the wires through the firewall or through the door hinge area with the other wires which run through there. Good luck I spent 2 plus days doing mine ;)

Bruce, the Sandwich Plate is the better option, however, there is a small hex plug in the side of the filter tree. You can buy a "T"piece to screw into that threaded hole, and then screw your two sensors into the remaining two arms of the "T"piece(cheaper option, but works just as well).:zlove:

    Just drill and tap

Into the top radiator pipe Bruce, 2 hose clamps and a piece of rubber hose less, neater and less failure points.
I run the oil temp and oil pressure off the oil tree, mine had 2 threaded holes with plugs in them, so was just a matter of screwing them in.

    Thanks Ron.
I like the tap into the water pipe set up.
Re oil, so these plug holes were already existing on the oil filter tree?
I will have to look at mine and failing that the chili t-piece sounds the go, bit like the chili brace. lol.
    Cheers
