    Year: 1989
    Body (2+0/2+2): 2+2
    Colour: Gun Metal
    Engine (Turbo/NA): Twin Turbo
    Transmission (MT/AT): MT
    Interior (Cloth/Leather): Leather
Odometer: Can't remember. Will post tonight.
    Price: $10K
Contact Details: by PM or 04489 12889

    Comments:
Well the car is known well enough, good and bad.
I recommend doing a search on threads by me (as I would for any car I look at buying) to get an idea into the history. But I truley believe that I've been transparent enough in this sales add, and will be making sure any potential buyer knows all the facts.

    So then.......
    • 3 Ltr V6 Twin Turbo (VG30DETT)
    • 1989 Nissan 300ZX Z32
    • Workmeister S2R 18inch Wheels with 245s all round.
    • Gun Metal Grey
    • 3/4 of the interior re-trimmed DIY with blue micro sued. Only rear panels to do and will supply the remaining material.
    • Momo Course Steering wheel
    • Veilside side skirts and rear bar. ABFlug Front Bar
    • Front Mount Intercooler.
    • K&N Single Pod Filter
    • Custom duel 2.5 inch exhaust including Stainless Steel Dump Pipes, Stainless Steel Cross Over piping, highflow Cats, and Stainless Magnaflow Mufflers. Centre Muffler and resonators removed. Joining pipework is in mild steel. (fitted in the last 12 months)
    • Highflowed Turbos (Stock housing with T28 internals)
    • Clutch being replaced THIS WEEK with a brand new one

    The Good:
    • Has been a good reliable engine. Compression results can be supplied but from memory, lowest cylinder was 130.
    • Wheels are light weight Jap rims worth over $2K
    • Steering rack end replaced just over a year ago. Handles like a dream as a result.
    • Targa rubbers replaced with brand new OEM items
    • Windscreen Wiper Cowls replaced recently with brand new OEM items
    • never had an over heating issue in this Zed which is "meant" to be a common fault due to the tight engine bay. Never happened to me at all.
    • just serviced myself inc plugs and fluids.
    • PCV Valves and related hoses recently replaced
    • Clutch will be BRAND NEW this week

    The bad:
    • Interior was showing it's age before I began the retrim. But the original leather seats still need looking at. Rears and driver side have cracks and tears.
    • Exterior also showing its age in places. Mainly in fading trim pieces and stone chips. Other than that, the paint is in good shape.
    • Rear guards should be rolled a little for the current wheels/tyres to avoid some rubbing in extreme conditions. Also note comments on shocks below for same reason.
    • Aircon/heater inoperable at present. pretty sure the heater core has been bypassed (a common "fix" when the heater core dies as removal is a pain).
    • Aircon I was told just needs a regas, but looking at the aircon rad condition, I'd suspect it needs more work than that.
    • Clutch Fan works fine (Never had over heating in this car) but thermo fan doesn't work
    • Electrical issues: Slowly chasing these down, but again, its just the car/wiring showing it's age. Recently fixed a short on one of the o2 sensor connectors. Have identified an intermittent fault on a connector to coil pack 6 which I am hoping to also fix pre-sale.
    • Shocks/springs are original and springs have sagged resulting in a nice low ride, but resulting in a slight tug to the left.
    • Rear subframe bushes perished
    • Blows some smoke/burns oil after high reving. Suspect rear driver side Turbo seal to be the issue. Engine out job on these cars.

    Summary:
The Car has been a joy to own and drive, but be under no illusion that owning a 20 year old sports car results in a love/hate relationship.
I can say hand on heart that the car has never been "off the road" due to failure except when I hadn't changed the spark plugs once. (wouldn't start).
It's a great looking car, and a drive down the coast road with the targa roof off makes you forget it's 20 years old in an instant.

Am planning a "final photoshoot" this week so will post those pics up too when ready.

    Asking $10K.

WARNING. These are pics I have on hand. Some are dated and my not resemble the current condition of the car. Up to date pics will follow this week.

Clutch to be done by Tom early this coming week as clutch didn't arrive last week.

Once clutch is done it's going on car sale . com for well under the price of most adds on thier.

If you're interested then make me an offer. Would rather see another forum member continue the project but money is money.

Very open to negotiations ect, esp if you want to throw some other wheels on it and I keep the Workmeisters etc etc

Appox cost to fix the smoking (if rear turbo seal) is ~$2K. Priced taking this into account.

Worried about the fixes? Make me an offer factoring in what you'd want to spend.

    PRICE DROP
    $8K neg

Also STILL waiting for new clutch. Current clutch is perectly drivable so if someone wants the car ASAP, will sell for less $7K "as is" given clutch and install quote is $1K

If doesn't sell soon, I may also just cancel clutch install and use this as a trade in.

    WANT THIS GOOOOOOONE!

I hate a shabby interior. That's why fixing mine up was a priority.

If you dont enjoy being IN the car... what's the point of driving it :zlove:

lol make up your mind man, this is like an episode of the bold and the beautiful ffs. Just get a listing up, with a reasonable price and don't give people the impression that if they wait a few weeks they might get it cheaper if you suddenly become desperate. Don't be like that JD guy and have MUST CLEAR THIS WEEK NEVER TO BE REPEATED SALE etc.

See if you can get the price changed in the thread name too :)
