Nissan 300ZX, 2 seater, hardtop, Silver

Location: Kyogle NSW (near lismore about 2 hours from the Gold coast/brisbane)

Non Turbo, Auto, 118k on the clock. $7900 or will consider trades with cash adjustment possible either way for the right vehicle. We are currently in need of a tow car (prefer 4x4) and i am looking for a bike (XR400 or similar prefered). Will consider other trade offers, maybe something fun, but no ground scraping bodykits please!

    General info:
This has been my fathers baby for the past 5 years. He now has upgraded and after keeping both cars for 6 months we are selling this one.

It has been perfectly maintained and runs/drives beutifully. Always garaged and has NO sun damage. plastics are perfect and interior is almost like new.

It is totally stock standard apart from a JVC cd player and a remote transmission cooler at the front. We replaced the exhaust about 1 year ago with an aftermarket pair of mufflers but they were removed after 2 drives and a replacment factory system fitted due to being too noisy. If the buyer would like the loud pair... they are still in the shed, free. He has never had any trouble with it, very reliable.

Perhaps due to not being used often anymore the starter motor has started sticking a little (we asked a mechanic and he told us the shaft needs greasing as it does not slide forward to engage the gears) this happens maybe 1 in 10 starts and then starts on the next keyturn. not serious and selling the car so we have not left it at the mechanic to take out the starter. My father still drives it once a week to make sure everything is going fine but have not taken it on a long trip since buying the new car. Has 4 months of NSW rego and good tyres. blue slip/RWC can be supplied if needed.

P plater friendly for a younger driver or a very smooth sports cruiser for anyone. :)

    thanks for looking,
    martin

    Is this sold yet mate?

    Couple of questions;

    * How many indicated km's did it have on the clock when it was imported?
    * At what km's and how long ago was the major service done?
    * What was your quote on getting the starter motor repaired?

Bit far away for my liking (something like 10hrs away) but if the price was right I might be interested.

    Cheers.

    Still for sale :)

    Thanks for the interest.

    1) Kms at import were 86,000 i think (ill need to check if you want it exact). We have all the papers in a folder here for anyone to have a look through. (i bought the car at auction in japan and went through the whole import process myself many years ago so i can be 100% sure it was not clocked back by a dodgy importer!)

    2) The Major service including the timing belt and many other things was done on arrival.

    3) Already have a replacment starter motor (just in case the existing one plays up again, working fine the last few times we used the car!).

    Kind regards,
    martin

Sounds and looks like a nice condition Zed then :D looks just as clean and mint as the ADM one I was looking at for $12,500! ;)

Still not 100% up my alley (being auto and your location is a bit of a bitch) but I will keep you posted - I have my heart set on a Zed now and only the cleanest ones like these will get my attention :zlove:

    A couple more questions:

What maintenance has been done on the car other than the 100k service and mufflers? Is there receipts/logs of these?

Would the new starter motor be installed before the car is sold?

Will the rego be renewed before the car is sold?

Could I get pics of the inside of the boot please? :)

    Cheers.

    More info

    Hi again,
We have done oil changes every 2500-3000kms. We do all the simple servicing ourselves so there is no formal record. Filters are changed around 5000kms. transmission fluid was replaced about 9,000kms ago. The local workshops all seem to use basic motor oil for all and any cars... we prefer to know what is going into the car and have always bought top quality fluids (full synthetic oil etc). This was not a car my father had planned to sell untill recently.

New starter motor is included free. i have no plan to install it at this point. Its been starting every time recently again, perhaps becasue it is being started more often.

Rego is still months away. Its renewed every year.

Boot picture will be made as soon as the dust storm outside goes away so i can take the car out! Its all factory, unmarked and no sun damage. Comes with the factory roll out screen/cover.

    kind regards,
    martin

So this is fuel and air filters as well?

Do you know what exactly was done on the 100k service? More specifically, were the coolant hoses under the plenum bypassed? Don't really feel like doing a plenum pull...

    boot pics

Hi, sorry for the delay... made a few pics.

ALL filters have been replaced at import and many again since we have had it during normal servicing. The internal transmission filter included when we changed the fluids and fitted the new remote cooler. Regarding the plenum bypass... i dont know, its not somthing we did ourselves and not listed on the service where we had the timing belt etc done. so assume it has not been done...

erm, the boot will be vacumed prior to sale! only realised when i saw the pics taken with flash its looking a bit dusty... ><

also come with a bit dirty rubber floor mats on top of clean factory plush floor mats with immaculate carpet underneath. :)

After the next dust storm settles i can make more if anyone would like particular close ups just ask. :)

hope that answeres everything, im off to read up on what a "plenum bypass" is all about!

    thanks again,
    martin

I have to say, after posting those extra pics, i'm 100% a z fanatic will be purchasing this car soon.

I mean, the spoiler has no bubbles, the black trim on the roof is all intact, and the air vent demisters are not lifting like 90% of other zeds and your steering wheel looks brand new. Your boot trim also looks to be in excellent condition!

For anyone looking to buy an NA zed, this is by far the best one I have seen pop up on this forum and at the asking price, I would have definitely picked this up as my daily driver if you were closer to Canberra!!:zlove::zlove:

mate, good luck with the sale, and i hope it goes to a genuine enthusiast:zlove::zlove:

    SOLD

Sold and delivered... Sorry to the people that emailed asking what it sold for... Its not polite of me to list the exact number to everyone. Was below $6900 asking price delivered 1700kms to Bendigo Vic... a nice road trip in a zed but all in 1 go was a bit much for me! At least the car was 100% reliable. :D

Thanks for the positive comments everyone, Thread can be closed/deleted if a moderator is reading.

    kind regards,
    martin
