Car preformed great for the first few days did the basics, oil. water, bit of fuel cleaner, new fuel filter. checked everything else physically possible an it went fine, until...the oil pressure seems to drop to 0, im hoping its just the sender, but the weirdest problem, is the car goes into a "limp" mode sometimes.. be driving along fine.. an it will suddenly "limp" an only give me 2000rpm, does it for a few secs, then is FINE again, an behaves normallythe auto box, is throwing a code at me i think(that i cant decypher, 1 long flash then 15 short ones?).. an other that that im fresh outta ideas the box does "BANG" thru the gears a little, im thinking it could be the TPS ... (from what ive read)any ideas. thoughts would be great, so then i can come out next week, an see all the other zeds.:YD
limited to 2,400rpm is a AFM malfunction >> the rev limit occurs to indicate that the AFM (air flow meter) has malfunctioned ... my guess is that you have a loose wire or broken wire (1 or more) at the AFM. I assume this because it only happens now and then, if may get worse in the wet.The AFM is attached to the airbox, under the nose panel between the headlights. When you had the air filters changed did somebody undo the AFM connector plug, and not connect it properly, or is the boot damaged or broken. If the wrong wire or more than one wire is damaged the car can stall, to test this start the car and wiggle the back of the connector the car and see if it stalls, if you need any help call me, see my contact no's in members section. >>> CHEERS SIMONBTW.... there is no listing for code 15 (I will email you the section from the service manual). the zed oil pressure sender's are known to have problems, use search and you will find more info.

think ive narrowed it down ok ill try typing something this time air flow meter appears to be ok, test fine etci beleive i have 2 seperate issues one the oil sender is a little faulty it reads accurate 70% of the time, wanders off a bit, then comes goodan fromt what uve read, sounds like my TPS or part there of is playing up would explain the holding of gears etc, an also it surges, not because its in limp mode, but isnt finding the correct gear...all i need now is a consult tool an a tps.. 8-}
Easy..>> I bet you have a HKS ALC controlling your auto transmission fluid pressure. These things are complete crap! I have removed two units from my zeds because they are unreliable. Remove it and you will find your auto trasmission will behave normally. Cheers
