I've managed to secure an excellent deal on 600x300 Bar and Plate front mount intercoolers with all attached pipework and hoses ready to install for $1150. I am currently getting 3 made (1 for myself and 2 for other WA members) but as this is such a good deal I thought I'd put the offer out there for other members to grab if they like it. Will have pics of the new coolers by the end of next week.I'm thinking the best way to run this is a 50% up front deposit (serious orders that way) and balance on completion of product and handover to me for mail out (or courier if that be your preference) Buyer to pay delivery costs from WA (Should be around $50-60)Also, I have been offered hard pipes with all associated hardware (hoses, clamps) for a very nice $300. Will have pics of these shortly too.I would like this to be a short run, with everyone getting their new FMIC or hard pipes within 2 weeks of their order.A quick note: You must fit an aftermarket cone style filter to allow fitment of these FMIC, also you must remove the front inner bumper bar or at very least trim it. The spotties (which were mounted into this inside bar) can be mounted to the front bar itself by way of simple ladder bar or ally strips. My zed had the spotties mounted this way from Japan, and I've had no probs with it at all. What do you think?
interested is the frontmount and pipes all polished?? are they mandrel bent pipes or welded? looking forward to pix=)
interested I too, would like to see what the hard pipe kit looks like. Are the hard pipes alloy or stainless and are the hoses silicone?
Keep me informed about the Hard Pipes>> please Brad. If there anything like the Rear Control Arms, then I'll be definately interested.
I would be able to polish the pipes for you if you really wanted them polished. The endtanks are easy enough too, but the core would have to be left alone. I wouldn't want to damage the fins. Probably not necessary to polish anything but the leading face of the intercooler either, but I don't really have a buff small enough to get in between the end tanks unfortunately. I'm rather partial to a nice bottle of Chivas after a good day of polishing
Still trying to get pics up WILD has been running around this weekend with his new FMIC and hardpipes, but will be dropping by the shed next weekend to polish them up so will have some nice pics then guys.Sorry about the wait.
Interested! *waiting for sum pics!!* So just verifing...These are pretty much ready to wack on in terms of piping and such?
OK, some pics for you all The first is of the Hard pipes installed but not polished in WILD's Zed. [image]http://www.arach.net.au/~dub/hardpipes.JPG[/image]Now the FMIC with bar and plate core[image]http://www.arach.net.au/~dub/fmicbarnplate1.JPG[/image]When we polish Dan's pipes and FMIC I will be able to take some better pics with the front bar off.For now here are some pics of my old FMIC which is made exactly the same way by the same guy only with a tube and fin core.[image]http://www.arach.net.au/~dub/fmictubenfin1.JPG[/image] [image]http://www.arach.net.au/~dub/fmictubenfin2.JPG[/image][image]http://www.arach.net.au/~dub/fmictubenfin3.JPG[/image]
Hard Pipes look good >> Brad.:YD Let me know when you are ready to order & I'll be in it for sure.}) Cheers Kerry
Thickness Dub, what is the thickness? 70mm (3") or 90mm (3.5"). Also, is this design able to be fitted without modifying or removing the front intrusion bar?
Depends where you measure it really.. The core itself is 75mm, but 90mm at the endtank attachment plate.I already noted in the original post you have to remove or at very least trim the front inner (or as you call it intrusion) bar. This FMIC will fit behind a standard front bar as it has been jigged from one.
