    hey every one :D

i got a couple of questions i was wondering if any one can help me out with?? ;)

    1. i am thinking about converting my na to a tt.... what exactly would i need to do this? engine, computer.... anything else?

    2. what is involved in removing a series one wing? will there be holes in the boot lid? can it even be done? i have heard that there is a big groove in boot lid when you remove a series one wing so people buy a series 2 boot lid and take that wing off???

    3. this one probably belongs in the for sale/wanetd section but... i was wondering if any one has any s15 rims, r33 gtr rims, 19 or 20 inch rims ( in any condition ) they would like to trade for my 17x8 and 17x9 inch AVS model 5's, just been fully repaired and repainted... look like brand new rims? with cash adjustments either way ??

thanks for any help any one can give me :)

p.s i have decided not to go over to the dark side and buy a 200sx... :D how can you compare a 200 to a 300, in looks OR power? or ANY other car !! :)

i agree. whats the point buying an NA if you want to put a TT engine in? sell the car and buy a TT and spend the money you would have spent on the conversion doing up the TT and you will be a LONG way ahead

    some answers regarding conversion...

I am in the early stages of my NA to TT conversion.... Yes I could sell my NA and buy a TT, but frankly I dont want to as my NA is in excellent condition and has sentimental value.

Have a look at the following vids on what has to be done:

    http://www.mwsmotorsports.com/mwstv.htm

It is a big job, but nothing a bit of work cant solve.... If you have a daily driver, its sweet, so the zed can be pulled apart over time.

Essentially you will need a TT ECU, TT fuel pump, TT FPCU, Intercoolers, Intercooler piping, TT radiator, oil cooler and a degree of engine piping that the NA does not have (such oil lines going to the oil cooler)...

You can use the NA main wiring harness, but you will need an aftermarket boost controller. You can also use the NA gearbox, but the bellhousing has to be modified slightly to accomodate the TT flywheel (larger than NA).

Of course you also need a TT engine. You can do a direct swap with a TT motor, but in my case I will be stripping it down and building it back up as I dont really trust 2nd hand engines....

I plan to do all this for around $8K, doing all the labour myself with help from family members and close forum friends who know more about engines than me..lol...:)

Its a daunting task, but I'm looking forward to getting stuck into it over the coming years (will be done over about 3-4 years as I also have a mortage to pay..:)). To date I have a TT fuel pump, TT FPCU, intercoolers and piping. Will be buying a dud TT engine next year and then starting the strip down process. Still keeping an eye for a stock TT manual ECU.

    Cheers
