After replacing the clutch fan on the car now it seems to make an excessive amount of noise (whirring) under thottle but at idle nothing. Also when I can hear the whirring it seems to suck an incredible amount of power from the performance of the car and is just incredibly annoying even with stereo turned up. Could this be due to the wrong part being fitted or something more sinister? Car used to overheat before replacing the fan now cooling all seems fine and cooling system actually retains all the coolant.
