    Hi All,

I am looking to carry my first PZP branded product very soon... It's a side by side front mount intercooler kit! To gain interest, I decided to buy 5 just as a test run. Now this is only the intercooler with no piping... Piping and PZP branded silicone couplers :)cool:) are getting made up in the next month or so. When the product is ready for release, a whole kit will be available and pricing will be below $1000!

Anyway, I am trying to gain peoples interest by putting a few coolers out there for all Zedders to admire and desire so..... If you would like to grab one and get your own custom piping made, please feel free to post up your interest. There will only be 2 available to a couple of lucky forum members....

They are being shipped at the moment via sea freight so I am unsure of when they will land in Australia, pricing has not been confirm either... I am going to have to wait till I get hit with tax and duties before I figure this out... :) I'm expecting around the $500 mark.

The product is similar to the HKS side by side intercooler kit (looks the same) except it is made at a different factory. In fact, it is being made at the same factory as where GREDDY get their front mount intercoolers from, so build quality is no problem!

The HKS one is pictured below.

    Here are the facts:
    Side by Side (Seperate Cores)
    Bar and Plate Construction
    Polished Aluminium End Tanks
    Overall dimensions 510*210*67
    TIG Welded
    Air pressure tested @ 50psi for 10mins
    Water pressure tested @ 36psi for 30mins

If you are interested in one of the two available soon, or keen on buying a complete kit next year, post up!

    Cheers!

    Tom

thats a pretty impressive setup but how the f*#k does air get into the radiator on that car in the pic with all the tee peice and loops and that its very messy intake but the cooler looks mighty fine.

I will think about it but am hoping to get some trust sidemounts of the Jamesz007 ones if they ever happen or 90ttz ones.

Are to many choices maybe I need 3 zeds he he he:D

well that's HKS for ya... it's their twin pod setup, they sell it with the intercooler however I am just going to be selling the cooler and piping.

Just remember though, the stock airbox is probably bigger than that... geez what were nissan thinking! :D

yep, the 53mm twin pass (another core change) is waiting on the manufacturers at the moment... Waiting on their new tooling machine for the larger core... unless I want to go bar and plate radiator but tube and fin is better for radiators (as far as i'm aware).

Anyway, good news... the total price of the sample coolers are looking to be more like $400 than $500... should be good!

That is exactly the same setup my car came with. I've never had any overheating problems with it.

I'm not a fan of the HKS filter setup and am switching to an Apexi pod.

I'm looking at getting a new intercooler as well because mine is a bit beaten up.

Are you saying I can have one of the 2 for $400 plus postage? If so I will take it. I already have the piping so it will be an easy fit.:)

How does this setup compare to a FMIC or larger SMIC?

  12. tom@pzp

    tom@pzp www.pzp.com.au

well depending on your front bar... basically.........

    1. Because it is located at the front, instead of the sides, there is a larger surface area for air to go through the FMIC.

    2. In a typical TT front mount, the air from the LHS turbo is feed along the cooler and out into the RHS piping to the RHS throttle body and same as RHS turbo into the LHS throttle body. This has been debated HEAPS on every forum and most people with a standard FMIC install a balance pipe between the throttle bodies to balance the left and right turbos... This is not the case with a side by side... Side by side acts exactly like SMIC's except they are at a location where there should be more air flow and be more effective.

    Hope this helps :)
