Should have a answer for you sometime in the middle of the week. The tooling for the injection molds will be done by then and I should have a final price for you guys.

Sorry I didn't see this query earlier.
No, they're not the Great Gonzer ones. Just a set from a oem USDM headlights (from a tt.net member in Vancouver) that have been vaccum plated (chromed). Andy and I were trying to determine if the inserts between the USDM lights and the JDM ones (non-99 Spec Xenon types) were exactly the same. For some reason there may b anindication that there may have been a size difference in the high beam unit within the light housing. Only way to confirm is finding out from someone who has actually split open both types of headlights and compared the two inserts. I'm thinking maybe the only breed of person that may have been curious enough to do that would be a Z owner member on the HID Planet Forums. I may have to place a query there.

Meh, it's light entertaining reading anyway. I mean, do we ever have anything better to do than do some Z32 specific reading?

- and I'm assuming that this combo will be pretty much the equivalent of having the 2000 spec xenon's? ie it'll look the same and perform the same?

 

No really. The 99 spec lights didn't have clear lenses and the inserts will probably not have the "Xenon" script on it. As far as the insert looking the same as the 99 spec one's, that's yet to be seen since the final CAD drawings haven't been finalized but the initial renderings indicate close to it.

 

Any update on the lens Andy?

The molds are suppose to be at the manufacturer middle of next week. I am hoping to have them available late April , early May. Will be a group buy to start with a very good price.

 

i think it will be better to show a final product before talking about g/b's,im curious to see myself

Tut...whats a Tut?

Forgive me...what do you mean by a "tut"? Will come ready to install if you are referring to the Lenses , the Inserts are at the 3D Modeling stage at this moment and they will also be ready to install when they eventually are manufactured. Would you really want them the Silver Color? A majority of the members in the States are wanting them a flat black so they can primer and maybe colormatch there Zx's.

 

Tut = Tutorial. Just follow the guide in the tech section to disassemble the lights, then replace the inserts

Just a quick update. Sorry guys Ive been very busy with new job and such. The superclearlense molds are finished and back at the manufacturer as of Monday (Korean) . about 24 hrs ago. I am looking for an early May release date. Dont miss the group buy and if someone wants to step up down there so I can ship a big batch to you guys you may even save a little more money. Thanks for your patience.
The JDM style inserts are being 3D modeled and everything as I type. Im am looking for a release date of sometime in late june with these.
Another member of 3ZC in US has PM'ed me , he has the JDM mudguards that we are going to make again and a bunch of other rare stuff that we are going to try and put together too.
Again , thanks for your patience...it takes anywhere from 30-60 days to get everything put together. Andy

 

After seeing psycodelik's GB on the Angel Eyes I thought I might as well jump onto that as well when I go to do this clear headlight lense mod.
Anyone else thinking about doing the same?
