Or anyone with worn mounts. Or anyone wanting to prolong the life of their mounts. Or anyone upgrading performance that wants to retain driveability etc of stock engine mounts. Or anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to stiffer engine mounts. Or anyone looking for an "engine in" (or "crossmember on") alternative to stiffer mounts. All engines "want" to do it -it's a product of having an energy creating device turning at xxxxrpm... some motors obviously produce more torque than others. I'm not for a moment suggesting that everyone go out and buy an engine brace. However individual users should assess it for what it is based on what they are trying to achieve. Attitudes of a "right way" or a "wrong way", or trying to "draw a line in the sand" are not particularly useful. Are you going to take me up on my strut brace wager? Slot car is supposed to be at Wakefield in three to four weeks with a total of four 14mm bolts to undo for back to back testing.
Just a quick thanks to rob lids gmbrezzo and zsteve for explaining what the damper dose. Yep solid engine mounts, go for it.
