    hey guys.. just quickly..

i know most of you guys have drag/track tyres... what do you run?

i have a set of bbs wheels (16 *6.5) with no tyres on them at the moment and i was thinking of getting some tyres for drags as my street tyres are useless and i spin everywhere without even trying..

got a budget of $300 for a pair what you recommend.
been looking at kuhmo ku31 and ku36's the car is a FWD car so i only need 2 good tyres on it. back 2 will be some cheap crap i have lying around.

any decent street tyre that can be good for drags as well? im looking at semi slicks as this will be my racing wheels..dont need the speedo to read correctly.

Don't use semi slicks at the drag strip, use a proper drag tyre (Mickey Thompson ET street/M&H Race masters/Hoosier)

My suggestion, get some good used race semi's or if you're allowed to run them full slicks. You can usually pick up used tyres for around $100 each. A set of soft Dunlops, Yokohama A050's or similar will be much better than a 'street' semi such as the Khumo's or Toyo's.

If you want something to also use on the street apparently Federal 595's are very good value and work well on the track.

Aazn is in Melbourne though :(

But yeah, my neighbour has a set of used Hoosier Drag Slicks in 245/45r17 on 17x8 350z wheels for $300.
