Both passenger and driver side door locks are stuffed on my z :(. I have a second zed where i am going to steal the engine and gearbox and various other bits. My question is.....

Would it be easier to take both doors off and swap, or just the locking mechanisms?

I would also take the boot, glove box and ignition as well so i don't end up having two use different keys. The second car doors are a different colour but i am up for a full respray in the near future as a lot of the panels are peeling.

    Cheers,

Definately easier just to swap locks. They are held in with a wire clip. Pull the door trims off and swap them over.

Ignition is a little harder, you will have to drill the bolts out of the bracket or pay a locksmith to rekey it.

or if they are the same colour just swap the complete door handle units with locks still attached?? - but once you have the handles out the lock barrels are not that much more work anyway! ;)
