VIC DECA Day

NDSOC and the FPV club are hosting another DECA day at the skidpan up in Shepparton on September 8th. The entries are now open to non NDSOC or FPVXR club members. However, you do still need either a CAMs license or a AASA license which are easily obtained. Oh, and a helmet as well.

Some of you guys here have been to this before, but for those who havent, its essentially a lot of fun. You can test your driving skills in different motorkhana events, along with speed trials around the back track. The day is broken up into groups, between the Nissan and Ford camps. At the end of the day you have the VB challenge. Here, the skid pan is split in two with witches hats down the middle. Ford on one side, Nissan on the other. Both cars will take off, wind through the witches hats without hitting them and then sprint back to the finish line. The winner moves on to the next round, and the loser is eliminated. In the last few years, the Nissan guys have always won this

I'll be driving up like I do every other year. Its an early start, we need to be in Shep by about 8 - 8:30am. So no big nights the night before. Let me know if you intend to compete or just come up for a cruise and watch the sillyness on the skidpan unfold.

What ill do Mark is let you know closer to the date if ill cruise up with you or not, I may be already up there visiting the old folks. But ill be ae to cruise back with y'all on the Sunday arvo

Weeell not 100% I was born in Sydney, moved to Albury (where most of my childhood memories are) then Shepp which was the past 12 years, now Melbourne by myself for work

Not going to see if the Falcon can match the Magna?

 

It would probably beat the Magna on the back track, but be useless on the fun part. Have already tried the Falcon out at a "private practice" so I will make do manning the radio and the camera.

 

so we will be coming up , but we will be there at about 3 pm , i got to much on ,in the morning , ill bring the zed but wont be racing .

any idea what time this would finish , ? . we will be coming, up as i want to put some ks on the car before the tune .

Alex, the DECA day normally finishes around the 4-4:30pm mark. So if you get there at 3pm, there wont be much of the day left.
