Cheers bro I think the waterproof box will do the trick just fine. If i have troubles with it I'll relocate it in a heart beat. That shot of the wire you are talking about was already there from when we pulled the fuse box apart. Obviously someone who owned the car before me had tinkered around with something. Iv fixed that wire now.
Wait you went out through the overflow filler hole? ...why? Just makes the cabling remaining in the bay more visible
Sorry just had a dumb moment . There is non. You can't see any It's just one piece of conduit at the bottom of the head light in the sharp crevice. You seriously can't see anything. Long story short I can't get my front bar off or it will never go back on so there fore couldn't get the head light out. Hence why I went the way I did
Just finished wrapping my air guide and bolted it down with some gold bolts, very please with it. Also received some goodies sorry for the low quality phone pic
So I know a sheet metal guy who said if I make a template he would make a real nice master copy for me. I guess that's what you could call it. So this afternoon I got under way and under the car with some 0.5 alloy sheets. I started cutting and moulding and cutting holes where the mounting points would be. I must say I had a lot of fun and a lot of frustrating moments but over all happy with the out come so far. Also took it up the wheel arch and sprayed it black as my car never had them when I bought it. Here is a couple of pics Progress shots
So it's been not even 24 hours since my car has been at the mechanics and I'm already BORED........ So I worked with what I had left and that's a AC compressor and a speed sensor Degreesed Sanded Primed and painted JUST BECAUSE.... Ok
Cheers bro It's a shame that it all gets hidden when on the car. Can't wait to get that plenum though
So while i'm waiting for my car to come back i thought id get stuck into some thing i don't usually do. and that would be Polishing from scratch. MY GOODNESS....... what a process...... i didn't know what i was getting myself into. some how i ended up with 5 sets of TB's in my shed so after 4 hours of sanding my way through 400 grit 800, 1000, 1200 i gave up as i couldn't feel my fingers anymore. I'm very happy with the out come so far. NICE AND SHINY Tomorrow i'm going to get some finer wet&dry sandpaper and make them even better. Here is a couple shots at 800 grit I'm doing all 5 sets at the same time and then ill pop them up here in case ppl want them.
I received my plenum this morning from WA. It wasn't exactly what i was expecting condition wise, never the less with very sore fingers (from the TB's) i rubbed it back with 400 then 800, 1000, and once again stopped at 1200 as i don't have anymore paper. Personally i'm not a massive fan of the whole " In YOUR fACE BLING BLING " thing, so i think i'm going to leave it be at the 1200 rub down. Then take it to my mate at Sunshine Wheel Repair who lets me use his machines and booths. There i will give it a few coats of clear. I would like (If SOMEONE WOULD BE TO KIND) at the up and coming QLD tech day to guide me through a plenum pull / replacement. here as it stands right now, i like the whole brush look
So here it is Took it to a mates who let me use his spray booth this afternoon. 8 coats of clear came up a treat Polished up the balance tube while I was at it.
Have you got everything for a plenum pull ? it is a bit involved. Things needed like fuel and air hoses, egr delete kit, do you have any oil leaks like rocker cover ones ? .
Do I need all that stuff if Carl (90TTZ) just rebuilt an engine and put it in less then a thousand klm ago ???? I'm pretty sure all deletes and bypasses are already done.
Thanks a million mate still totally worth the money I offered. Not looking forward to putting that motor in though You driving over for zed fest?
If they have been replaced it should be okay, but just bring some spare hose in case of tearing/splits etc.
It's cost me $178 for 1500x1000 to my door I could only afford 2 sheets at this stage. Once the order has been placed its 6-8 weeks to come in from Japan and then 9-10 business days to arrive at my door. So when I actually get it I'll worry about how to apply it
July Build Thanks to Rob260 for inviting me to be the build feature for July. I chose to keep it short and sweet with out all the BLAH BLAH BLAH. Taking the photos was so much fun .
