good timing .. I'm currently putting pen to paper for a list .:D

a little surprised with the 2" stock piping and TDM FMIC.

isnt 800HP with GT28RS pushing it a bit?

800HP crank is well within its reach. This car will make nearly 700rwhp once I'm done building it.

I believe he is upgrading his piping as he has his stock IC piping up for sale right now.

Here are some updated images of the garage. I keep it as clean as I can. I'm a one man show with what I do with parts development, machining and engine builds. So this essentially is my sanctuary. I don't need a huge shop to do what I do and I have some tools in my garage that most don't think of getting or using when building engines, but its my little piece of heaven I suppose. The table nearest the garage door (blue legs) is my tear down table. Please excuse the pile of Z parts on there. I'm fixing some issues with this particular customers engine.

I've got quite the collection of rear main seal housings and a few windage kits ready to be shipped or installed in a customers engine.

Yes...thats right I have a widescreen monitor hooked up to my netbook so I can chat with you chaps while I'm out in the garage playing :) Its nice I have a wireless keyboard and mouse with a Altec sound system hooked up.

yea its a shame that shipping would literally dry ones bank account if you sent me an engine to build for you guys. Maybe I'll make a trip out there sometime and spend like two weeks and just go around building customers engines. Have an engine building vacation.

What are you using for coatings?

Grilled cheese sandwiches, or installing gudgeon pins?
Two equally good uses for a toaster oven

This is the process for anyone unfamiliar with the process

It would be used to cure the coatings.

I use quite an array of coatings actually. I use dry film lubricants, ceramic resins, thermal barriers, dispersants, etc etc. I do a lot of piston coatings, exhaust port and combustion chamber coatings and a slew of exhaust coatings for turbo applications. I do all of this in house with no out sourcing of any kind.

How do you use a toaster oven to fit gudgeon pins lol?

  20. Chrispy

    Chrispy Pretentious Upstart

You heat up the pistons which expands the hole so the gudgeon pin can slip in ;)
