Hi all, I have myself a 91 300zx TT manual that I can't get started. Starting with the information I know and why I think the issue might be ECU related, I don't know what to try next.
The car cranks over, lights and electronics work however I believe the ECU is either not getting power or is fried, although I have tried plugging 2 other ECU's and having the same issue. Fuel pump will not prime, have checked power and ground, have also bypassed the Fuel control module. Receiving no spark as well, have checked at the spark plugs, all ignition coils are good.
Have tried to diagnose by bridging the pins on the diagnostic port, however no codes are coming up as I believe there is no connection to the ECU. I understand the EGR fuse is related to powering the ECU in some way, but unsure how to check if it is good. The ECU is also chipped by Nistune, have tried connecting the software and it won't recognise the ECU, another one pointing at the ECU being the issue, to confirm this I tried connecting another ECU as Nistune can still recognise unshipped ECU's and it still won't work. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue or know where I should look to next. Thanks all!

The tech section tab here has downloadable FSM. Look at the EF & EC section. Buy a multi-meter if you don't have one. Super-cheap or the like sell them. Then go through the circuits to find where you have power and where you don't. In the EF & EC section is trouble shooting pages, to show you what you need to do.

Based on what you have told us, it does sound like the ECU isn't powering up. I'd follow NI85's lead, use a multimeter to check for continuity of all the fuses in the power circuits.

what about your PTU connectors dude, if the PTU connectors are corroded the car will crank but not start?

    Is your CAS plugged in?

I will double check the connecters here, seemed to be okay from last inspection, also has the series 2 PTU installed

Going through the diagnostics currently, I've discovered that my ECU pin 16 is coming up with 12 volt even though the diagnostic states it needs to see 0.8-1V, does anyone know why this might be the case?
