    !!!!!WOW!!!!!

this was a big day, it was like christmas but with zeds... it all started out at BP service station were we meet up and had a quick feed. starting at the service station we had 6 zeds. ranging in colours we had black, green, silver, blue, red and yellow.

after all refuelling both our cars and stomachs we headed out to karls (90TTZ) place for the tech day and bbq. while driving out there we had kids waving and cheering us on.. people we taking photos of us lined up at the traffic lights.

rolling into Karls place we all parked up in the drive way, parking next to karls silver machine..

we started off talking and stuff while mic put his zed in the garage and did a boost test.. passing easily.. then lee's red zed went it to be plugged up to datascan, and a engine detail.. all looking good now.

we disseappered around the corner for the bbq out the back with a big feed cooked up by karl and his wife..

back into the garage with my black zed now, time to fit my turbo tech boost controller i've had sitting at home for 2 months.. going in without a hitch we plugged up datascan and found my car needs some work done..

in the drive way pulled in some late comers, alister in his red aus spec zed..

after about 4pm people started heading home to kit up for the drags.. the night was just about to begin..;)

out at the townsville drags strip was a huge amount of cars from loud V8's to a stock looking lancer.. i lined up against the lancer, i had him down the 1st part of the track then he must have hit boost or some thing as he flew past me.. my best time, a 14.3 at 98mph.. the lancer(with a big turbo!! 13.5)..

karls had numerous runs, we started to loose count.. he was happy with a heathly 14.1, even trying on some slicks..

next up was mic in his blue zed.. after being of the road for a extended peroid of time having work done it was time to see if it payed off.. stopping the clock at a nice 13.5 he was happy, next time he'll be putting on slicks as he had little traction.. even with the 10" tyres on the back.. 13.5 with out hitting boost in first gear!!!

up stepped phil in his yellow n/a.. first time to racing he run a sweet 16.2...

a fellow zedder from ingham had come to the drags as well.. running a nice 14.5 in his grey zed..

after about 10pm we called it a night.. check out some of the photos bellow..

    Nice write up!!

Is that a ding in the black and green Zed I see in the first photo!

  6. 90TTZ

    90TTZ Back From The Dead

A ding it is but that's the least of his worries at the moment...

Second gear has died in the auto tranny and with another fellow zedders rebuild coming in at $3000, he is not excited.

Ah yes, a good day had by one and all, especially for the first one  Only casualties was two zeds (no names) with dead det sensors and dead O2 sensors. You can imagine how their faces lit up when I informed them the det sensors were holding them in safety boost, they thought there zed was supposed to perform the way it did. Looks like a bypass and sensor replacement next tech day.

About the only thing I would change is to an earlier start time. We obviously had no idea how fast the time went. Thanks everyone, had ripper day:)

    Wish I coulda gone... :(

Was going to try and make an appearance but I forgot to write your mobile numbers down for starters, then when I was in Townsville I never had access to a computer! Also the touch carnival was pretty full on all day so I was rooted by night time.
    Ahh well, hopefully next time!
    Regards,
    Will

Re: thanks guys for a great day.

BIG THANKS you Karl & his wife for letting us stay there & the BBQ.
Would have been good if I could take out MRZ32 to the drags,(Had an Engagment party to go to) But will take it out in the next few weeks for sure.
I've heard about that Lancer I think it's from Cairns, could be a good race for my wife's NX-R Coupe that runs 13.4, love a close race.

Where do we go from here?

Maybe another meet-up & Cruise & Dyno day then later that night the drags, Would be good to see what car runs what 1/4 mile time & MPH with "X" amount of power. :)
