Baz, reducing the price doesnt seem to increase the buyers or lookers, Ive dropped my convertible price several times on carsales, and still no bites! Not even one since Christmas.
I had one cash offer of $10 grand from a local, but I decided not to accept such a low price.
Hang in there, Im sure someone in Qld who is "looking" specifically for a convertible will find yours .
Ive put the price of mine at $13,500 and am keeping it there, if someone is keen, Im sure they will make an offer either way, lower than the asking price.
Perhaps you could include the Roadworthy at $13,500, as most buyers want the security of knowing it will be Roadworthy anyway.
Ive noticed the other Convertibles on Carsales have been sitting there a while as well. The only ones that have disappeared are the below $10,000 mark, one at $9G and another around $8G, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Having gone through the processes to sell both my V35 and MX5, I've noticed it's a buyers' market right now unfortunately.

Ever since sports cars went out of fashion and everyone started driving beige appliances, you'd struggle to sell anything these days because there is always one or two who don't care about their car and will sell @ a price lower than everyone else on carsales.

It may be worth it to you or I in the know, but 90% of people aren't clued up when it comes to cars and won't even enquire because they think you're just being greedy and go to the cheapest one.

I was firm on the price of the MX5, it's older and has minor faults, the serious buyer I ended up finding was a car enthusiast and they're actually going to pick more faults than a non car person. I didn't end up selling to him since it was easier to sell the Skyline... once I dropped the price.

The Skyline was faultless but people didn't even enquire until the price came right down. Obviously if you get no enquiries at all, it's too expensive. I dropped it down to my absolute bottom dollar. Obviously the market determines the price and even though I didn't like it, enquiries poured in and I could barely keep up. Naturally they came bargaining but when they know it's the cheapest around and they can't find faults, they'll pay your asking price. I didn't have to drop the price when someone came to look in person and it sold easily. You do get the occasional douche bag who will low ball you half your asking price and I tell them to kindly F*** off and stop wasting my time.

Hi Stu and Mike ... many thanks for your comments and analysis.

Stu, the $13,500 ONO is with RWC .... perhaps i need to make that clear in the Advert.

The reason for throwing in the no-RWC price was to draw in anyone mechanically capable should there be any minor RWC issues they could handle themselves and save $$$$.

If I can move the Black Zed, I am thinking that I may well just use this as my Golf Buggy/runaround (which is all i now need) rather than give it away for relative peanuts ... it is a joy to drive; tight , nippy, a goer.

Wifey's recently acquired Sportivo is now the family traveller ... so the 2 Zeds are relatively superfluous.

guessing a QLD RWC would be no use in Victoria right?

    That's a pretty good guess!
When a vehicle is reregistered Interstate, they normally require an inspection by an approved Inspection Station, regardless of how much registration is remaining on a vehicle.
In NSW the annual inspection is known as a Pink Slip & the other inspection required relating to an Interstate reregistration is known as a Blue Slip.
