Has anyone tried to clean their mass air flow meter? What should i do just spray the cleaner through the mesh or try pull the mesh out without hurting it much and glue in a new big o-ring when im done?

Spray it with electrical contact cleaner through the mesh, let it dry, that's it really. Don't touch the sensor physically!

I always remove the rear mesh on the outlet side since it serves no real purpose other than disrupt the airflow. You can pick it out using a small flathead screw driver.

Righto might just pull that one out and give em a careful clean just before they go back into the car, there's a fair bit of dust and crap sitting on the pipe that goes around the sensor that needs cleaning too.

    Cheers

You can buy maf cleaner though it's basically just brake cleaner. Don't use silicone on the oring or any kind of glue just sit it on there.

You'll be fine with the mesh on, that stuff will wash all the dirt straight off it. You're much better to leave the mesh on if you can.
