    I agree.
BTW, after running faultlessly for the past five days, it just died again this morning.:mad::mad:

Sh.t, Lloyd, just how frustrating can these cars get...???:bash:
No real suggestions, sorry, as you know far more than I... but you've sure got my sympathy...:zlove:
Dunno whether any of the gurus have suggested it, but could it be something relatively simple (haha... forgot we were talking about a Zed!) like a faulty connection within ignition switch?
Don't think I've ever known of what is potenially a great car that has so many mysterious and frustrating problems, as reported on a daily basis in the forum, as the Zed...

You think that was frustrating, try this!

I came home from work at 7pm last night. Went into the garage, tried to start the Zed, and it fired up first turn of the key(and for several subsequent attempts), came out again this morning....DEAD AGAIN! WTF??:bash::bash::bash:

    Stop looking for sympathy

    Go fix it.
Very frustrating Lloyd, makes it very hard to fix when the problem is intermittent like that.
Can you isolate and bypass your imobiliser, i still think your problem is there if you have exhausted all the other obvious areas.
sorry can't offer anything more constructive.

Hey, Lloyd, now it's starting to sound more like what mine was doing BEFORE I replaced PTU, CAS, ECU, etc...until after all that it failed completely. Wokkie traced (final) non-starting to faulty fusible link near firewall (driver's side) where I had been searching for it on passenger side "...in front of battery..." as the tech sheet said.
??? could it be that they cause this type of behaviour before finally failing??
Piece of 20-30 amp wire replacing fuse did the trick until I bought a new replacement from Nissan. Now starts fine. Methinks I could have saved a lot of time, temper, and money by not replacing everything that I did.

Finally been able to isolate the alarm immobilizer system and determine that the problem is an intermittent 'open circuit' in the starter motor. Reconditioned unit going in on Thursday.:mad:
