Are those plastic bits (reddish in colour) vital to its function? I received 2 sets of covers but both bits were shattered. Wondering if I can still use them without any drastic effect to what they're supposed to do... Second photo shows them damaged: Arvin
Not important, will be fine. Just make sure there's no loose bits about to fall off. Give them a clean with carb cleaner as they look filthy.
Great to know. Thanks! One more thing though (as per photo below). If the medial metal piping isn't on the cam cover, is it as easy as taking your old one and connecting it to the new cover? AAA
yes they are a pressfit. Just twist the old ones out, (get them chromed) and push in, then rubber mallet home.
