Regrettable sale but im moving into an apartment with only one car spot. So me and the missus are both selling and meeting halfway with a nice (fingers crossed) BMW M3! :) That makes me less sad about selling.

Ive had Red for 6 years. Initially it was an NA but a dodgy mechanic damaged the crankshaft so the engine was a goner. I then did a TT swap with the intention of keeping the car forever. This means I was meticulous about replacing parts and spent a lot of money buying brand new components direct from Nissan. Even performance parts I was adamant on buying new parts for some reason.

The TT swap was done carefully and properly over 6 months. I did the bulk of it myself and then took the car to the guys at Autotech Engineering in Granville to look over and finish off the product. They arent just a normal workshop, anyone whos had work done there can vouch. They know what theyre doing, and their prices reflect that. Parts for the conversion cost me 4k, exhaust cost 2k, and labour from Autotech cost $3400. But the end result was worth it.The engine in there now is from a 1994 and has done 140,000kms. It has had a 100k service and has a few leaky oil seals (namely cam seals which are easy to change). Otherwise it is a very healthy and strong engine!

I modified the car slowly, spending lots of money on any supporting mods I believed would be necessary to make the upgraded power reliable.

Unfortunately I dont have a garage, thus I let the paintwork wander with the intention of getting a proper respray once I moved out.

The car has the best cooling system I have seen on a zed. It never goes higher than 85 degrees. Not even in traffic! I pretty much rebuilt the entire cooling system bar the radiator as our zeds tend to overheat easy.

    Performance Modifications are:

-Greddy ProfecB Spec2 Elecrtronic Boost Controller
-JECS 600cc injectors with Series 2 adapters
-F1 Racing stage 2 heavy duty TT clutch
-Lightweight aluminium flywheel (F1 racing as well i think?)
    -Z1 aluminium one-piece light tailshaft
    -NISMO transmission mount
-Big 13inch brake upgrade (324mm slotted rotors). Also currently running Skyline GTR calipers and dogbones as they sit slightly better than zed. But I will provide a pair of rebuilt and painted silver 300zx calipers and brand new dogbone adapters from Z1.
-AMS 20-way adjustable coilovers (5000kms old)
-Front and rear adjustable camber arms
-Npower dumps. Full 2.5'' stainless mandrel bent twin exhaust, with Ballistic 100 CPSI racing cats, a full-merge collector pipe, Magnaflow mufflers (the best kind, 15816?) with quad tips.
-Spoiler removed and 3rd brake infill panel fitted.
-GFB Hybrid BOVs with twin out (can full atmo, half-half, or full plumb-back).
-Greddy turbo timer matching the boost control guage.
-ECUTALK Display constantly running in DIN slot for in-car diagnostics.
-NISTUNE ECU using a stock tune adjusted for 600cc injectors.
    -GFB Underdrive lightweight crank pulley
-Pexzed Underdriven water pump pulley (spins pump faster. excellent cooling mod).
    -600CCA fully-sealed battery
    -Radiator air guide half-length
    -BOMEX sideskirts
-Genuine 2k SPEC front bar URETHANE fitted a few months ago. Also genuine indicators to suit.
-Non-genuine 2k spec rear taillights. Would fool 9/10 people, great workmanship.
-EL center panel glows blue when switched on. Wired to work with the fog lights so can turn it off if you wish. Looks amazing.
-Black real leather seats front and back, handbrake, shifter, boots. All with red stitching. Looks amazing. Seats especially- they also have FairladyZ embossed on them.
-15inch sub in the boot in a custom box set to one side. Gives some boot space. Also have two 6.5 splits in the same box.
-Speedy wheels- 18inch. Rears are 9.5 wide, front are 8.5 wide. Kuhmo KH1 tyres. Got sick of the cheap Nankangs etc so stepped up a notch to these --Korean tyres, which are much better.
    -Front mount intercooler.
    -Genuine MOMO steering wheel.
    -Short shift kit.
-Silicon hose everything. Every single hose in the car has been replaced with silicon to avoid future issues.
-AMS clear timing covers. Great to just check the condition of the timing belt and camgear seals whenever you please!
-Three guage hood mount guage holder.
-Legal limit window tint all round. Done properly, guarantee it wont peel anytime soon.
-HID headlight kit 13k crystal blue (xenon crystal colour).
and the best mod of all! NA rear-end. This is the silliest thing to do in a zed it is so much fun. The NA diff ratio is a fair bit smaller than the TT, so the gears are all shorter. Acceleration in a TT with an NA diff is stupidly silly. Downside is your top speed stays the same as an NA. Which is... 240 :p So much fun in a TT anyone who has experienced it can vouch.

Issues with the car are listed below. I will be dead honest as I have bought 2 lemon cars, and 2 lemon motorbikes, and I know how shit it is. Everything wrong with the car is below. If you fixed these things, you would have an immaculate, reliable, fast, sexy zed... no questions asked.

-Paintwork is shot. Bonnet is flaking.
-Second gear synchro is worn. First few drives (6 years ago) id grind the gear. Then I learnt to be gentle and havent done it in the last 5 years id say.
-Brakes are wobbly. Might be an issue with the big brake adapters (I have spare). Might be the discs needing a machine.
-I did not grind enough of the gearbox rib out when doing the TT swap. Thus at low rpm+high load, it makes a noise because the clutch housing vibrates against the bellhousing. Not getting worse, wont get worse. Just a 'weird noise' issue.
-Bit of a ding in the passenger rear quarter. Shown in the pic above as a blob of cream coloured bog.
    -Aircon doesnt get very cold.
-Radiator needs a flush. I got a stock second-hand radiator and some rust flushed out of it into my cooling system. Still cools great, just not a pretty colour.
-Audio power cable fuse is gone. The power seats and ProfecB are wired to that so theyre not working atm either. Easy fix. I could do it for you.

Any interest please let me know. Can call me on 0423 168 164 to discuss.
Open to any kind of offer. If I cant sell it as a whole, ill be parting it out unfortunately as itll bring back more money.

The exhaust cost 2k, the suspension cost 1.5k, the seat retrims cost 800, front bar and lights cost 700 only a few months ago. You get the idea.

Ive quoted parting it out and main parts will bring back around $10,000.

So at this point I am posting the car for sale at $8500. Dont think ill sell it for much less as id rather just part it out then. It would be sad to see her pulled apart though, as Ive spent so much money unecessarily by planning to keep it forever. The TT conversion cost me 6k in parts, and 3k in labour to have the guys at Autotech Engineering in Granville look over it and finish it off (they arent cheap, and know their stuff).

In all honesty, i bought this car for 13,000 in 2007. It was immaculate cosmetically, completely stock, with a lemon engine and unreliable all round. Since then ive spent about 20,000 maintaining and upgrading hoping to keep the car forever, and eventually reach the point where I dont have to touch it as its perfect, and nothing would break since its all been replaced with new.

Now it is pretty reliable. So many sensors etc have been replaced. Its also a lot of fun to drive. Estimate 280rwkw. from people with plenty of experience on the forum. Get a paintjob, machine the brakes, flush the radiator and youve got yourself a stunning zed.

Seen this car at a few tech days, fairly good car for the price. HOWEVER its not 280rwkw man, especially on stock turbos and a stock tune :p

Been through this argument too many times. Believe what you will :p I believe it has 280 in it :) So do some others, and some do not. Never been on the dyno so theres no argument either way. Just an indicator. Its previously had an Apexi tune, also had a JWT tune on there. Stock tune now.

Well there's one way to settle the argument for sure (albeit it'll cost $50) just take it to the UAS 300ZX dyno day on the 13th of July. Posting up a print out of 280 rwkw would help sell the car(if you're really confident it has that much).

The amount of hp your car actually does have would carry a lot more weigh than the amount you hope it has.

Not selling the car based on horsepower :) Lets forget the number entirely then

I'm sure it a great car with all those mods what ever the hp. Just a pity you won't dyno it so we know what it makes, just curious that's all.
