    Hello everyone!

After having my car sitting for close to a year, it's finally time to bring her out and give her some attention.

Upon doing so, while going over the car I noticed I no longer have brake lights. After the usual running around looking at fuses I tore open the brake light sensor in the back (black box) to find it's totally corroded and one of the resistors had completely rusted off.

No big deal, replace the sensor ? I have to have the car over to my welder in the next couple days and currently don't have time to get a new one and can't source one locally ( I live on an island).

SO. I've decided on the bypass, problem is that my car is RHD and all of the tuts and guides seem to be for the LHD harness. Colors and order are different so it's not as easy as taking the same wires and bridging them

    I've got;
    1x solid red
    1x red/black
    3x yellow/red
    2x green reds

All the guides I've seen have
    2x black/red
    2x yellow/red
    2x green/reds
    1x red
    1x black

It's worth noting I have already cut the wiring harness at the black box and can get my running lights working fine just not my brake lights. Thanks for the help.

Look in the tech section under
    Fixing the "LIGHTS" warning
    may help you

I've tried searching for anything relating to it, havnt had much luck at all honestly. I spent hours trying different wiring combinations with no luck. Any threads in particular you can think of I should read through?

@TWIN TERROR I have it linked the same as in the thread and still no brake lights. And I've replaced the switch behind the pedal aswell. Time to get the multimeter out again lol

Sorry but I have to ask. Have you checked the globes ?. The black box fault may have damaged them or perhaps they are faulty as well. I would start with globes as it is quick or just get the multi meter out and follow the wiring to easy to get points. Fuse check as well. I find tracing electrical points fun
